No big deal, but I agree, when I was new to the game I liked the reassurance of having an 100+ laffer with me. As for now, I really don't care what laff, nor suit you are in vp as long as you can take a hit and know what you're doing.

That's the way I see it. I particularly like the word "reassurance". I for one don't delete a low laffer right away after I "use" them for a bean task but if I see in a week or 2 that they haven't played or aren't progressing then I will delete them simply because I don't have a lot of room.
One occurance popped into my head when I first read ToonE's mini/rant...my second toon was around 70 laff and my friend's new toon was around 50 laff. We both had defeated the factory with our main toons, both 106 laff *b4 the downgrade*. Anyway, she needed help and there were 2 other 60 laffers ready to go but she refused to go with them! She said she wanted to get a 100+ laff toon so we were guarenteed to make it. I was really upset with that. But I guess it boils down to the fact that some toons are very insecure with their gags. They think a "high laffer" can save them if things start going bad.
I don't know. I personally go with anyone and only hunt out a higher laffer to counter a low laffer/gag carrier in the mix.
And ToonE...as far as toons who go to VP or CFO without gags or laff points is just maddening to me. It isn't just a low laffer who does it though. Sometimes they forget but it can get quite frustrating.

PLEASE don't become one of those people who posts all over in every thread about people having no lives. It gets old, it's a fun game to play and just because certain people progress at faster levels than others does not mean they have no life. Although, I will admit I have seen a few people on here who need to get off once in awhile. But for the most part it's just having fun with your friends. So drop it.

I don't really see the point you were trying to get across with that but ok. I played the game when it very first came out as well. I recall you saying you did too. That means nothing.

Well yeah thats true they do take us for granted, I mean what would they do without us? Do you think a bunch of level 50's would be able to beat a v.p with low level gags? NO, but maybe a TINY bit better of a chance with level 6 but most level 50- don't.

Going back to the original post and trying to ignore the bizarre ones in the middle lol....I think you actually make quite a good point. After all, if you won't VP with other toons that have your same laff/suit level, why should you expect someone else to want to VP with you?

I actually never look at suit level or laff points when joining a random group: just gags. For one thing, a CC1 suit may mean the toon is inexperienced, or they may actually have two or three Holly 50's and know exactly what they're doing. Looking at gags, besides making sure that the group will have the gag power to take out the cogs, is also a great way to see if anyone has forgotten to restock. That way, I can bring it to their attention with a "Got gags?" or if I don't have that phrase on the particular toon I'm using, "I have enough gags. How are you doing?" There have been several times when I've gotten a "Yikes! I'll be right back" in response.

And if there are 7 people in a group who don't know what they're doing, one 100+ laffer cannot save them. In fact, I've lost in a group that was entirely 100+, just due to bad teamwork (and people trying to work their rakes and marbles LOL)
