Well because no one can check your laff....
During the pie fight anymore to see how low you're getting, you HAVE to ask for a tu now. Another common error I see lower laff toons making over and over and over again is getting too close to the vp. If you're getting hit by gears you're too close!!!!! There is absolutely no reason to be that close in to the vp once you learn how to aim your pies.
If you have lower laff, stay back enough so you're not getting nailed by the gears constantly!!! Either aim for the undercarriage to stun the vp or at his head to help knock him back, but obviously at 51 laff, getting hit at -3 every few seconds quickly takes a toll. Don't get too close there's really no need! My final suggestion would be to make sure you are always facing the vp, so that you can see him when he's getting ready to jump. During vp it can also be VERY helpful to have your sound turned up so you can hear the "whoosh" sound he makes right before he jumps as well. Hope that helps, Bnkzsahm PS One more thing...don't wait until you're in the teens to ask for a tu, if you're in the 20's two missed jumps will do you in...when you're in the 30's or so is the best time to ask so that someone has enough time to give you a tu before you get too low to be saved...Good luck!! PPS Rarely will you run across people who will tell you when to jump, you really have to watch the vp to learn when he's going to jump. Watch for him to dip down, shortly proceeded by a whooshing sound and time your jump accordingly so that you are in the air when he lands. |

Oh, and don't hit metal, eaither hit his tummy or head, or pie the hole(hit his part were cogs came out)Also tossing a pie at the vp while he isn't stunned doesn't really do anything, so if your fingers get tired from overusing....

Let me sum up what people are saying.
STAND BACK and DEVELOP YOUR JUMPING SKILLS. Not being able to tell when to jump will kill you faster than anything else. So stand back and watch the VP so you know when to jump. After 4 or 5 runs it will start to become automatic. I never pay attention to it anymore and finger just hits the jump button when the sound/crouch happens. When you have developed this skill, then work at the others. NEVER TAKE YOUR EYES OFF OF THE VP WHILE LEARNING TO JUMP! If you really went in with seasoned players, they really don't need your help to finish off the VP so spend the time developing your skills rather than trying to be the hero. Popcorn |

I was tooning someone up, and I had run waaaay back once I reached 6 Laff. I had been asking and asking and NO ONE payed any attention-they figured I had it coming to me. But then again, they were all Secret Friends and mine was busy stunning-we had a tough VP; she told me later it turned out to be an "Impossible" VP.
After I went sad, of course. Tch. At least the cog part was easier than it was on the CCG run today-30 NORMAL cogs, at least 6 level 12s! We had maybe 2 level 1s, and 3 level 2s. Last edited by Prof. Raven McSwirl; 07-14-2005 at 05:51 PM. Reason: add on |

Tips for VP:
1. Limit the sixties in there to 2 or 3 2. In the pie throwing always keep an eye on the VP. You never know when he might jump. 3. When he is getting close to the end of the cog launch pad and you are on the side facing the SOS toon stay there until you cannot stay there anymore. 4. Always toon your crew up when there is less than 4 cogs there. Have fun and good luck! -Queen Raven Rockenscooter |
