Yes, 50 laff is enough. However, you would need to find a good group. If you go in with about half and half(four 50-75's and four 90-117's), you should be able to win. Nothing against anyone, but it does tend to be a bit hard when trying to vp with all eight 50-75 laffers. I started to vp with LBC at about that laff, and I started to vp with squirt at around 55 laff. I have had a few toons that VP'ed at 30 laff, but it is hard to do. Especially with Disney's brilliant idea that we don't need to see eachother's laff during the pie fight(Gee, thanks alot disney!). I would say go for it.
But I have always wanted to get the vp's over with.. Just my opinion. LBC |

You have to chance it. Thats the only way you will learn. Alot of times you get some good toons to go with you. My daughter started vp at 55 laff with hose and cream pie. Well now she is a telemarketer with 61laff. So take a chance. When I first started the vp it wasnt as easy as it is now. I died a thousand times, but thats the way the cookie crumbles. My toon is Big Sadie Poodlecrumbs 113 laff with all maxed gags. Look for me in sellbot HQ if I all my merits I will go with you.

It is my opinion that you are not ready. If your team needed a large tune up, you would not be able to contribute only having jokes. Would you be comfortable going with 7 others exactly the same laff and gags as you? If you answered no, then you would more than likely be going in vp relying on higher laffs.
It would be much wiser for you to get to work on the Brrgh tasks. The Brrrgh is a great place to find great friends that will someday form a powerful vp team. And vping with a group of friends is much more fun than standing around shuffling for hours with randoms. And believe me, most people are going to shuffle you. If you are dead set on vping right now, please join the CCG and go at their scheduled times. I'm just trying to save you the frustration of the shuffle and also trying to give you a little advice that has worked for me and that is not to go in VP until you can be a strong contributor. Good Luck and Take Care

Laff and Gags never hurt. What you really need is knowledge. Read the tips from other players. Teamwork is the key. Most groups typically have plenty of firepower to get the job done. It's how the group uses the available firepower that makes the difference. Do you own thing, and you might end up sad. Stick together, and you'll have a much better chance at the dance.

Try it out and you will know. Its not a shame to get sad in the VP. If you have one or more experienced toons with you follow their directions. Read about the strategies here on the board or at the cold callers guild.
I did my first VP after I had 100+ laff but I still lost. Now I go in with 50 or less and I still win. Get experience and you will win eventually. |
