inexperienced toons dying in CFO

has anyone ever died in the cfo because some toons enjoy putting safes on the cfo or is it just me. i have lost 3 out of 7 time because of this. it is really annoying. the cog part is easy though.

I think the title of your thread is exactly the reason...inexperience. Time, patience and a good attitude will help the "new" CFOers learn proper craning and soon they will be the RBs of tomorrow. I'm sure that most aren't "enjoying" putting safes back onto the CFO's head and losing isn't fun for anybody. When I started CFO none of us knew exactly what we were doing...we were all new to it and we were all SC level 1s...plus, we lost ALOT! Good luck with future runs and perhaps try going with the CCG for a run..

After being a stomper for awhile, I decided it was time to "learn the crane". I read all of the descriptions on the website and asked for a few minutes at the crane when I went in with some friends. I failed miserably.....

I reread the instructions, and gave it another try last night with the CCG (where it appeared everybody wanted to stomp). Soooo, there was no time like the present to learn. After a couple of minutes I started to get the hang of throwing and was hitting 90% of the time. Now I have to learn to watch for the gears, and learn when to throw the safes. For now, I will leave the "safeing" to more experienced players.

Just like the VP, after 4-5 runs, things start to click in. You just have to build one skill at a time (the jumping one being the most important in VP).

Thank you CCG! You guys are the best!!

Not all high level players are good at the cranes, same as plenty of inexperienced players can adjust to them easily. I find that the cranes are easier than the stomping, but I do well at both. I have many high level friends who choose to stomp because they are more comfortable that way. They keep the crane operators with a steady supply of goons, and often run into the CFO's treads to keep him from throwing gears at craners.

My 9 year old son immediately figured out how to battle the CFO when CashHQ opened on Test, I learned by watching him. My 13 year old can not do the cranes well at all, it was hard for him to accept that his mother is better at a computer game than he is!

Like the old saying goes "Practice Makes Perfect". You have to just keep on trying.

If you're quick then you can knock the safe off fast when they knock it on.

Exactly! I'm a mid level suit and I find stomping soo much easier...however, my friend prefers the crane...we're the perfect team...
I have tried to crane, BTW, practice thanks to very patient friends

well just to tell you, the cfo does put safes on himself if they r close by. but i sumtimes dont trust an inexpierenced toon with a crane. all the inexpiereinced toons actually BEG for the crane

Angry Omg

I know exactly what u mean... I just went in with a full elevator. NOT A SINGLE toon was less than 101 laff pts. The cog round wasn't TOO bad... though one toon decided to use an ele by themselves on lured cogs (THEY WEREN'T LOW LVL COGS EITHER)... **sigh** but for the most part it went well. I thought it would be a pretty easy run. I can't say but SO much.... I am not to good at the crane so I try to leave that to the more experienced players... HOWEVER, I think only 1 MAYBE 2 people knew how to work the crane.... OMG IT WAS ROUGH...... and everytime i at least tried (since no one else was trying the other cranes) they wouldn't protect me from the goons. So sure enough.... ONE BY ONE.... we all died. When I died there was 2 barely living... needless to say it was a failure. THAT STINKS!

So regardless of laff pts..... i guess u just NEVER know what/whom you are going in with

The trick to all this is getting the CFO fast when he turns red. Hit him fast, to get him down to blinking red, and them kill him. It is the stompers job to protect the craners from goons, in order for them to do so. Even when I go with some of my sfs(who are mostly RB's), we mess up sometimes.

What happens when more inexperienced toons go, is they do not understand the fact that they have to protect the craners. Once he hits red, and the punishing red goons come out, they'll start scrambling for treasures. Of course, most do fail to hit the CFO with goons when he turns red. He will keep getting helmets, and more goons will hit people. The toons will then get off the cranes and just get treasures.

The advice I give to all new toons is to goon. Stay by the craner at all times, and stomp the goons that come by. I wouldn't recommend craning at first(unless there are no craners or just 1). Then you can start to learn how to crane, and follow the basic rules(like don't throw safes, when the cfo isn't stunned). Learn both parts of the battle, and then figure out the best strategy to win.

Practice makes perfect!
