Having done many CFO battles; both fast and long, drawn-out ones, I think that it may be a combination of the 2 factors. It seems to me that if the battle is taking a long time, even with little damage to the CFO, the red caps will appear. There may be a time limit imposed in the programming causing them to appear after a specific amount of time has passed.

No, he is right depending on the damage the CFO has taken results in which goon will come out, the CFO could be yellow for an hour and yellow goons will still come out.

It's quite Ironic, Kalan, that you are complaining about somebody killing the group in CFO. It makes me laugh. I remember the days on TEST (if this is the same Kalan who was on test) that some of us would avoid going in with you because you kept killing the whole group. (This was when most of the bugs were worked out, too.) In my group, there was quite a buzz going around at TEST to "stay away from Kalan, they'll kill you in there".

It was only through practice that you began to get any good. Please remember this point when you cut down on others who are making you lose. We all have to start somewhere.

I don't see anywhere on this thread where Kalan is cutting down anyone, only pointing out what certain actions can bring in cfo. And as for test cfoing, we all had our moments, it was new to all of us.

What in the world? Kalan never cut anyone down, where did you get that? She wasn't complaining at all. She is the Robber Baron who will die for everyone for goodness sakes, lol.

I see absolutely no irony here at all. Do you know the definition? This post is a question to others who do not have experience with CFO. She was educating the new guys to CFO about something we need to be careful not to do which turned out to be smashing the small goons with safes.

She seemed completely aware that, "we all start somewhere," and she was offering help.

So, "cutting down" was the wrong word to use. So sorry for any offense but it was unintended. The whole post was only to let you all know that we ALL have to start somewhere sometime and whoever was smashing the goonies may not have known.

Yes, one toon can definitely kill everyone in the cfo.
To answer the question that has been popping up, When a toon gets a crane, that toon has the power to do many things...this includes KILLING the WHOLE group. There is more than one way to completely mess up this group. One way, of course, is by continuously throwing safes on the cfo's head, now, to stop this you must get that toon off of the crane as soon as possible. However, if he stays on(does not get hit by anything), there is where your group has a problem. You can't do anything with someone throwing safes every chance, and then grabbing another safe ready for when someone knocks it off. This can kill a group. Next, this is the more direct way to kill a group. A toon grabs a crane, and uses the safes to kill every single goon that is walking around. No goons to throw, no way the cfo battle is victorious. Although never having this happen, I understand completely what Kalan is saying. Sorry it happened to ya kalan, but I am sure you're ready for a win the next battle!

Have fun in CFO, remember new toons (not second toons) are coming up from DDL and there to learn from others, tell them not to throw a safe, and so on they'll pick up what needs to be done if their there to learn~

Thank you! Reading some of these threads and posts has me terrified of even trying a VP....forget the CFO! I'm ready for my promotion but don't even want to attempt it yet. First of all I need more lafs (a few Cogs away from 63) I'll be waiting a bit more until I try. Not that I'm scared of a good battle. Today I did a 5 lvl in The Burgh with 2 under 20 toons and myself. (OK getting on that elevator made me a bit nervous but what the heck.....no biggie if it didn't turn out.....I was the "big guy" (girl ) Totally different (at least from what I'm reading here) if a CFO or VP battle gets messed up. Too many people, even though everyone here was a first timer.....some forget they ever were.....aren't going to care if it's your first time. They are going to want knowledge and perfection. Sorry but if you all will think back to the first time you entered that building you had neither. I (and others who read ahead of time) will have a very basic understanding of what to do and not to do but until we are there we are still very clueless. OK I know not to throw safes from a crane onto anything....I now know it can be used as a helmet etc etc.....but what I don't know is what do you do with a crane, what do you mean sections, what does the orange/yellow/pink/purple/magenta/aqua/puce mean???? Enough babbling....I hope you all get what I'm trying to say. So much to remember and really.....most of us newbies to the big places aren't idiots (at least I don't think I am) we just need practice and hands on knowledge. Just like you did when you first got there. I can read all I want on the subect but until I get in there and DO.....I really have no clue.
