3 toon CFO gone bad

First off, I want to apologize to auntkymitoon for yesterday nights CFO run. I guess I must have been really tired and I didn’t realize how low of laff you were. I really could have used your help in the CFO.

3 toons went in, auntkymitoon, Melissa, and andrew. Melissa was by herself on the other side and went sad during the cog round. Auntkymitoon and andrew were struggling with never ending waves of level 11 and level 12. I don’t recall ever seeing this many COGS in any of my recent battles. During one of the late rounds, auntykymitoon went sad (which should have never happened if I was paying attention).

I continued to struggle to finish off the round but managed to get through it (time for more CFO runs to restock my toon-up TOW).

So, off to the CFO I went all by myself. I’ve been trying to get some practice on the crane but I didn’t need this much practice. I got pretty good at throwing goonies while they were still awake but during the battle something weird happened.

I kept hitting the CFO but he didn’t take damage and he never had a safe drop as a helmet. This happened for 10 minutes. I finally realized that I wasn’t doing any damage and decided to throw a safe to see if that would ‘reset’ him. Well, it worked too well and he woke up with an attitude. Several red goons started popping out of everywhere and I spent most of the rest of the battle disabling goonies.

My question: Has this ever happened to anyone else where the CFO quit taking damage?

Whee!!!!!

Sorry for not participating my part good enough into the fight that's why you have so many cogs came to your side.

And yes, it happened to me once when I was trying to throw the goons at the cfo but didn't get any damage until one toon threw the safe to knock off his helmet which I didn't see at all from my screen. I still couldn't figure out how that happened.

So you are saying that the CFO had a safe helmet on but I couldn't see it on my screen.........that would make sense.

Yes, this has happened to me two or three times so far. It appears that the CFO gets an invisible helmet. When it happens, you have to knock him with a safe again and then usually it resets.

The first time it happened was on test...and I sent in bug report and they obviously didn't fix it! It's happened on open a couple of times too.

Sorry your three toon CFO didn't work out so well... good luck next time!

Happened to me too. I usually hit him 3 times with a safe durring first stun. Sometimes I don't get the third hit in time and it puts his helmet on. Only thing is everyone else can see his helmet but it is invisable to me. I will have my friends on yahoo voice chat and I ask them if he has a safe on. So it seems it is not invisable to everyone, just invisable to the toon that put it there.

Since i've heard of somthing like this happening this is usually one of the reasons why I dont try to solo a CFO its more common if 1 toon their instead of 2-8.

You ARE a WINNER!!

I had to publicly respond to your apology... It is I who should apologize....
I played horrifically- only a GENIUS restocks Trap with no Lure restock l0l...

I learned a tremendous amount during that little battle there my dear. You absolutely should have won -hands down. You were in there forever... I don't think I've ever been in a CFO fight as long as that one. Melissa and I were on pins and needles waiting for you to emerge victorious but you were in there so long I actually fell asleep. (Oh My!!) Yes it was late, I was exhausted but that's no excuse for some of the moves I made so I dear sir, am the only one responsible for my ultimate demise!

You absolutely ROCK!! THAT WAS FUN!! You are a highly skilled exemplary player and I'm proud to be friends with you . As for Melissa- the same goes there. She stayed alive for 90 % of the cog fight alone and not many players could do what she did either so KUDO's to both of you!! Thanks for taking me along- it was EXCITING!!

Time now for MTJ, Melissa you and I to do a foursome so I can practice then you and I are gonna DO IT AGAIN and WIN!!!

Auntkymitoon,
I will concede that it was late and that we made mistakes (which are always made during any fight) but the restock trap, while an interesting choice, only made the run more of a challenge and was not the reason that you went sad. I couldn't use any other restock gags because I was full with lots of traps. I was trying to burn off some of my other gags before restocking throw when you went sad.

But, there was no good reason on why you went sad......plain and simple. With only 1 other toon with me, there was no reason why I shouldn't have kept track of your laff and used a toon-up TOW.

As for the genius, I take that hands down with my 10 minutes of throwing goonies at the CFO while he was wearing his invisible helmet. I knew it wasn't doing any damage but I still kept throwing the goonies. Not sure what was going on in my mind by doing this.

I really thought I had a chance even when there were about 7 of the hugh goonies (30 damage) in the CFO. There were so many treasures that I couldn't see where the beams were when I was running from crane to crane.

I will admit that I did get great practice at operating the crane but I still could use a little more practice.

Overall it was a fun run and an excellent learning experience.
