CFO Glitches NEED TO BE FIXED!!

I don't usually complain about glitches that toons use to get through rooms quickly but I am starting my own personal campaign to get the puzzle room stair glitch fixed. I just ran through the bullion mint using my other toon, Princess Bubbles (108, maxed gags), with three other 100+ toons. Two of these toons glitched through the stairs in the puzzle room. They did not wait for me as I was trying to do the puzzle room with a baby on my lap and fell at the end. They glitched, grabbed gags and never looked back. I had been patient and a good team player the whole run only to have these three other toons BEAT THE SUPERVISOR before I got there. I'm working on 8900 merits and am INCREDIBLY discouraged with selfish toons in the mint runs.

These three toons- a dog, a duck and a rabbit - know who you are. I will not run with you again in the mint or the CFO. I choose not to play with toons who are incapable of being team members. When the glitch is fixed you can thank yourselves. My email plea to Disney asking for the glitch to be fixed will include your toon names.

It should go without saying that if you CHEAT to get ahead of the rest of the group that you should wait for the rest of us to catch up. I can't believe that I actually had to say that!

I rarely do mints anymore, but when I did and I did the stair glitch, I always looked back and waited for who ever was still doing the room. How ever the glitch should still be kept, because some people might have trouble with that room.

Also I think your thread should be "Mint glitches NEED TO BE FIXED!"

I know how you feel.. I was in a factory run, and one toon bypassed the warehouse (which I don't know how to do yet.) While batteling in the warehouse I saw the message thet XXXXX IS FIGHTING THE FACTORY FOREMAN. I then realized what had happened. I finished the warehouse, ran up the stairs, grabbed the elevator and started running to the center silo. Before I got to it I got the message that the silo was completed and I got no credit for that run.

I was pretty mad, but it was a learning experience for me. There are all kinds of toons in TT and I have learned to live with that fact. But nobody comes close to (I think) *Evil Kid Bugs* the brown dog that stuck two of us in the center silo and taunted us from behind the door. That was just outright MEAN, but I got over that one too eventually.

I agree that it is very rude to run ahead of other players. It was wrong of those other toons to use your help earlier and then deny you the completion of the mint run!

Regarding the glitch itself, if you use it then please wait for others who don't or can't use it. As far as the difficulty of that room, it is much easier than it was in the beginning. Practice a few times and then it will be easy enough to do. Of course a baby on the lap (or a 9 year old for that matter) will make things more difficult, lol!

This is the reason that all of the "good" glitches have been fixed. The warehouse lookout, the east silo to gear room, and many others... Because toons using them took advantage of them. By saying took advantage of them, I mean used them to their own advantage to leave others behind. Sometimes I wonder why people cannot foresee the consequences of their actions... don't they SEE that doing something like this is wrong? Then I have to remind myself that someone is going to tell me "maybe they are kids". In my experience, the adults are just as bad as the kids, but OK, let's just say it's mostly kids not realizing that selfishness is wrong. Well, unfortunately, this is one of the ways they end up having to learn... by having the ability to take advantage taken away.

When the mint was still on test and so many toons were having problems with that room (before they made it easier) I saw how many people used that glitch and then got impatient or left or whatever and emailed Disney about it, telling them EXACTLY why I thought they should be fixed immediately (to avoid what happened to you). There are a few other glitches in the mint that I mentioned in my ermail. I know there are people who will be angry about those of us who report these glitches, but to them I say: welcome to the world of those who CAN'T do them! (I can, but I wait for those who can't, and have been left behind as I have waited for them.) [By the way, those who play with me know that even though I can do the glitch under the stairs in that room, I personally ran that room for almost every single run to my RB50, because I wanted to know that I had done it right.]

I really feel bad that you had this experience, and truly wish I had sent more than a few emails to Disney regarding this, and that others had done their duty as testers as well. Good luck in the future finding more tolerant toons.

Just to play devil's advocate here: Clearly if they had time to run ahead and defeat the super then it was not only one time that you fell at the end of the puzzle. Equally clear is the negative effect of trying to do it with a baby on your lap: With all due respect (and I really don't mean this in a mean way) maybe you should not be doing this while holding a baby. Of course it's going to be more difficult while holding one. (I can do it 99/100 but imagine that would fall to ~20/100 (if even that many) if holding a baby.) I actually think what you did was rather inconsiderate. If you cannot devote enough attention/effort to the task at hand then perhaps that task should wait until such time as you can. It's a bit unreasonable to expect everybody else to wait because you're only giving 50%. You could argue that they didn't know about it (your limited attention availability); but you do.

I have to use the glitch, because i can NOT get through the puzzle, lol. however, i'm a toons number one cheerleader! i will stand by the gags and cheer on the toon trying. in the warehouse, i use the wall glitch, just because i hate to wait for all those goons to die. But, i will wait at the end of the stair until all of the toons get there. dont punish everyone, just because there are some disrespectful toons out there. there are many of us, who use the glitches, but are still very considerate of others. if we really want to complain about something, lets complain about Sellbot VP and how everyone jumps on and off and leaves you in there with only 2 toons, that are under 30 LPs. lol. Now that is something to complain about. lol

I know of several players who use that glitch because they simply cannot do the puzzle the regular way. I can only 'glitch' on one of the computers I use and will use the stair short cut while on that computer however I have never left anyone behind, even if they fell 10 times. I have never heard of anyone else doing this to get ahead and leave others behind and have never seen any such thing on the many runs I've done. I'd say it is an isolated situation and demanding Disney to remove this glitch for just one bad group of toons seems excessive and frankly mean to the many, many toons who use it responsibly.

Disney has a system for reporting abusive toons and should be used to report people like the ones you encountered, however don't punish everyone else over the sins of a couple of people.

Hi there - you ran a Bullion with us in that same time frame - I was running as Violet Twinklenoodle (112 cat). I hope your experience with us was pleasant (2 small cats and a small duck (115, 112, 110)).

We occasionally glitch in some of the rooms to take a peak at the upcoming barrel, but we only do it with one of the toons - the others stay with the non-SF toon(s).

For a sec. there i was thinking you were talking about me and 2 other toons but i can see now it was not me.

becuase one got stuck in that room and i was the one that knew that glitch but no one else and we wen't off to the supervisor not knowing the one was stuck in that room we wen't to the supervisor and we waited then i wen't back to the toon because i did not know what happend and i don't wan't to fight him without the other toon so i helped her out for maybe 10 or something min's thrue then she made it and we all were so happy we were saying "Yay!" and "Woo Hoo" and "You rock" and she said "Thanks" and we all wen't to the supervisor and took him out! it was a blast!

It's a cheat. Justify the use of it anyway you like. It's still a cheat. I had a lot of trouble with that room in the early days of CFO. I have one computer that can do it and one that can't. I purposely played on the one that couldn't so I wouldn't be tempted. Thanks to my very patient friends that room is now as easy as any other. The glitch will be fixed at some point and with a little luck the toons who "glitched/cheated" their way through without waiting for others to catch up will now be the toons getting left behind. Poetic justice I think.

I feel as if you are also bringing others down with you. By reporting the glitch those who can't do the puzzel in the first place or who are in hurry will have to wait longer. I myself cheer on others when I do the glitch and wait for them (I sat there for 10 min one time). But to put their names in with the letter is a lot more mean then reporting the glitch. I truly do not think its right to take these actions if its one run and just one set of toons. Even if you had 8900 merits its only a game in the first place. That is just what I think however you may see it differnt.

It is quite possible for the others to have gone ahead of her and defeat the supervisor while she was doing the gear room puzzle. The glitch is very fast and three of the bullion floors have no cogs between that room and the supervisor, ie: 4, 11 and 20. Plenty of players can not or do not choose to use the glitch in the big gear room, and sometimes you miss a jump for any reason regardless of distractions. There is NO excuse for rude and selfish behavior like that.

It is great that some people are able to make playing Toontown a priority, but many of us have real life issues which can interrupt us at any time.
