2 toons beat VP (melissa / andrew) beat VP

Melissa and Andrew just beat the VP.....again only 2 in and 2 out.

Details to follow shortly......gotta go fight the CFO just (one more?) time......OK we won the CFO and I didn't have time to update the post.

So, to the details:

SOS cards used:
Professor Pete - at the end of the cog round to restock both Andrew and Melissa for the SKEL round

TOW used:
2 Max toonup
3 80 toonup
4 40 toonup
1 restock sound

COG round went really smooth and I had 93 laff (out of 116) left when the last COG was standing. Things started to go bad then. Long story, short, I ended up less than 60 laff and went over to Melissa who was holding the last COG so that we could toon up each other. I used a Professor Pete after we healed each other and off the SKEL round we went.

SKEL round couldn't have gone worse. Andrew proved why he keeps the speed phrase "I can't hit the side of a barn" by having 4 sequential LURES miss while up against 4 level 8,9 and 10 SKELS. Needless to say, that is why so many TOW toonups were used. Anyway, I managed to finish up and join Melissa who had played a Clerk Clara SOS card on 3 Level 11 and 1 Level 12. We took turns missing LURE and tooning before we both used a TOW 40 toonup at the same time. A couple more failed lures and tuneup later and we were off to fight the VP.

It was prearranged that Melissa would stun and andrew would stay in close to keep the VP from jumping and push the VP back when he was stunned. The hardest parts were getting the VP off the top platform and for some reason the jumping was wierd. I jumped as the VP jumped but I kept getting -10 laff. Not sure what was going on with the jumping but I had to wait after the VP started to jump before I would jump and this threw my game off a little bit.

Needless to say, the VP didn't stand a change once he was off the top platform and Melissa and andrew were soon dancing over their 2 toon defeat of the VP.

Now, if Disney would just open the next headquarters, we'll get started on that 2 toon run................

Great job. No Barnacle Bessie's or Lure SOS's? It seem's those two + toonup phrases would be the gags of choice.

It was a blast!! I used

2 Clerk Clara sos cards
3 40 toonup
1 80 toonup
2 max toonup

TOW toonup phrases are the most important gags for this fight.

andrew; we did it

After much thought and regret, I would recommend SOS cards that are offensive in nature, i.e. drop, trap, and even sound. I have lots of restock SOS cards but with the cashbot TOW, I never need to use them and it is a waste of a turn to have to pull out a restock SOS card when a TOW works instantly. The only exception of course is Professor Pete which can always come in handy.
