ELEVATOR-max 4 times get on
Now for me, with elevators,...if there is a lot of shuffle ( over 2 or 3 times having to get on/off/on again), then i just leave. it's just too silly!
Please Disney, limit the shuffle. If your toon gets on & off the elevator over four times, you will be transported back to your estate, or maybe just back to the nearest playground. And just like trying to go into the lobby without a suit, a message would appear saying "Please come back when you decide what to do." Not too much shuffling if you then have to travel all the way back. And Griefers, the low-laffers who are really high-laff toons in disguise who just can't enjoy themselves in a normal way, would find it a lot more work to do their griefing. And PLEASE! No more rewards of 'big head'. Silly anyway, and it blocks the elevator counter. All it really does is give a Griefer another tool so they can annoy other toons. Some people will do anything to be a nuisance, but lets not make it easy for them!! |

that's true, just leave if it is an annoyance.
its not too much of a problem for me, like i said i just leave if its going on too much. i do see a lot of postings about the annoyance it causes. i would like to see a limit of four cause after that you're just wasting someone else's time. some toons dont have that much time |

after some thought...i think it is interesting to see how toons enjoy themselves , some in ways the creators did not think of themselves.
like having races, or stuffing the boat, etc. it IS a 3-d online real time game. but some limitations are already there to ensure the basic enjoyment of all....such as speedchat with nothing ruder than 'you stink'. nothing too irritating, nothing too shocking. so, except for the eternal battle between high laff versus noobs ![]() the biggest irritation is something that can be fixed. i dont participate in the shuffle that much. if i absolutely have to get onto a vp elevator, i go to the ccg. but i have seen it. there are toons who simply spend hours getting on and off an elevator, just to annoy other toons. when you have spent 10-50 factory trips getting ready...that's too much annoyance. you can't get rid of it...but you can slow it down. after 4 times on and off an elevator, you will get a message saying 'make up your mind', and then be transported back to your estate or to the nearest playground. and yes, Disney may not fix it for me, but they are able to, and i still think it would be a good idea. let the griefers go to some other game! |

For the big head thing- maybe they should make it go away when you're in the lobby.
About the timer- I think they should rise it up so that rbs and hws can't block it. Not that we would do it on purpose, it's just hard cause if you stand in front you will be blocking the timer. |

That would take a nice bit of programming and would require some sort of time interval to make it work in a half way decent manner. Good luck getting Disney to work on that...

I have a better idea.
Once 8 toons are on the elevator no one can jump, the doors close immediately. If anyone disconnects they go sad, lose their gags, and their current merits/buck. And if you're feeling particularly cranky you can add that they loose their suite if they are below the "standard" laff point level for that HQ. Think that'd stop the shuffle?

i love these ideas!
that update where Big Heads go away in the mints got me thinking...if they can do that, and you can be prevented from going into a lobby for lack of a suit, then you can also do other things.... hmmma lot of the elevator shuffle is from high laff toons trying to get groups of just high laff going (for whatever reason, groups of friends, the need for speed, or just dont like anyone under a 100). the elevator shuffle causes a lot of wasted time. how about if you shuffle too much you loose a suit piece? or you all of a sudden can't get ON the elevator anymore? |

I think then you'd have a hard time getting people to get *on* the elevator in the first place, especially if they're with friends. Now that I am 117, I haven't really moved on to play another toon. I have 2 others, but I prefer to be available to help my friends still getting there. I also seem to have this masochistic penchant for taking a full load of CCs or SCs that no one else wants. I am fairly certain I am not the shuffling problem. But I think a few determined high laffers could be first on, almost immediately jump, and send the rush of low suits that almost always follows a high suit off to their doom. As for the idea of sending shufflers back to the playground, I think that would penalize people who are forced to shuffle. That little CC1 who clears the elevator every time he gets on, or even myself, who gets 5 small suits to follow me on, but the higher suits won't get on with them, so the little ones panic (heck, I panic) and jump. So there you go. One shuffle to my name. The point is (I swear I have one) how do you differentiate between those who shuffle on purpose and those who are forced to by circumstance? A little pop-up box that asks, "Did you mean to do that?" I can't see many people checking yes. |

good point....how not to penalize toons who are just trying not to get killed!
(which we all know, going with cc1's is not automatic sadness)i kind of thought about that too...which is one reason i threw out the number four. i was also trying to see just how much shuffle is too much shuffle. a certain amount is to be expected. if a bunch of people in RL arrived at an office building entrance at the same time, there would be a certain amount of shuffling (",,no, after You") kind of thing. that's in human nature. plus add friends trying to hook up, or toons avoiding one another out of philosophical reasons....shuffle will happen! on the other hand....i have heard stories about some toons spending 30 minutes or more shuffling in front of an elevator! that's gotta be the worst.so maybe the amount of shuffle would be combined with a timer....maybe four times in a two minute period? get a warning saying 'please decide'? or maybe five times in one minute.... personally, i have waited sometimes to find someone to play with...but i won't spend more than a minute doing any kind of shuffle. i'll just go somewhere else. i hop off an elevator if there are 6 or less toons. 7 or 8 i stay. if there is some 17 laff griefer just jumping on and off over and over, i may not get ON....but if they want to go sad i dont care.... i would like to see a small limitation on the griefers....some 49 laff toon who's really working hard and is a cc1 is not a problem. a 117 laff toon is great. all i ask is at least 7 toons! |
