If my memory is correct, 4 of them were SC's with a couple of them level 1's to boot. We won and all made it out. IT JUST ISN'T AS HARD AS SOME OF YOU MAKE IT OUT TO BE!

Scratchy Dog, you sound like a few of my SF's. I know I'll get some bad feedback for this, but here is the truth:
I wish I had a $1 for every time I've had a friend say something like: "We lost that last CFO battle. I started off on crane and no one would stomp for me, they just kept running around" OR "they just stood by waiting for someone to get hit so they could get on crane"

If any of you have read what I put in here already, you know what I'm thinking to myself when I hear this. Anyone not know what I'll say next? lol

If you wish to WIN on a random run, STOMP and do it well.
If you wish to crane on a random run, don't get upset when you lose!

It takes MUCH longer to master stomping and treasure farming then it does to at least get decent at crane. I have seen VERY few toons that cannot be taught crane IN ONE RUN, but have never seen a toon MASTER stomping without many, many runs under their belt.
these idoits dont have common sense!!!!they all do the same thing.i think this is too risky for you.it sooooo upsetting but you have common sense and so do i

LOL - My comment was to explain how the SAME scenario can happen regardless of the suit level of the toons.

I wish I had $1 for every time a post is misinterpreted - you and I could BOTH retire.

I can stomp - and do quite often - I stomped for myself on that run.
I can crane - and do quite often - there was an available crane on that run.

BTW - I do believe I said that I was NOT upset with that loss and that it was to demonstrate how the "noobie" scenario can and will happen at any suit level in ad-hoc groups.

And I said that you SOUND like some of my friends. What followed was more or less what THEY have said over and over. It just went with my first point is all. If you take a crane on a random run you are skipping the harder job for perhaps the more fun job and saddness will be a regular part of that game plan. That isn't just directed toward you, it's a general statement based on my experience to anyone reading this.

I wasn't talking to you either about not reading before posting. Those words were for folks like beef and dingbat.

I play to win, and so I choose to take the most helpful post on random runs to put me in a place to win. Everyone else is free to do whatever it is that they find fun.

Good Luck.

[quote=WizardHawk]The most important job in the CFO battle is stomping BY FAR. I have done many random runs and still never gone sad on one (had to bail on 3 or 4 when last toon standing) and I don't care who goes with me. I'll take as many sc's as will jump on the elevator. Why have I been so lucky as to not experience all the lost runs so many here face? I start off stomping EVERY TIME I'm on a solo run. My goal is to treasure farm as many as possible and keep the two toons on whatever side of the door I'm on as safe as possible. I look up from time to time to get a feel for how each of the crane operators are doing. It is my exerience that even 4 total new players on crane will get it before the end of their very first run. It isn't rocket science that once he has a safe on his head you cannot damage him. Really, so what if they toss a few on while learning? We all did it and we all managed to win before we were really good at it didn't we?

I stomp and create as many treasures as I can and wait to see if the team can hold together when the CFO is red. If not, I'll jump on crane THEN and finish him off. What causes the end to so many random runs is the lack of available treasures for everyone when the reds come out. Everyone is too busy running around trying to heal themselves to have anyone take a crane and get a little support for that last shot. Work on dropping as many treasures as possible and you drastically reduce that problem! QUOTE]

I totally agree with wizard hawk. My son is great at the crane , but usually isnt around to help my toon at cfo. Since I'm not very good at the crane (especially with pc lag) I always stomp goons. So he told me that the 2 most important things to do are 1. stomp as many goons as possible, thereby creating a large number of treasures to be used throughout (and especially later if the battle continues). and 2. Stay near at least one craner to protect. Sometimes you have time to protect more than one craner, but if things are pretty harried, try to pick the best craner and try to protect them by stomping away at anything that comes close. This will also create treasures fo the craner to get.
But the most important thing that I try to remember is that it is just a game. If I lose at cfo, then I can go in that much quicker (no bucks to get you know.lol)

I just did a CFO today and there was one good crane person and then there was me and we both did i best to keep the CFO geting hit but the goons.

The toons were really bad and i mean REALLY BAD! and they kept runing looking for toon-ups and not even stomping the goons i saw one toon he had to stomp then crane stomp then crane cuz no one would help him and this just makes me really mad!

Now i was thinking to my self there are not alot of little toons that are short changes that get to do the cfo cuz most toons won't help them but i was thinking i wan't to have some fun so i'll take some short changes with me (2 wrods for you "BAD MISTAKE")

So i think i'll just try and cool my self off for now but in the mean TIME........

I'm off to kill some NOOBS!!! <---lol just messin with ya!

~DuckyWucky~
How exactly do you expect the short changes to LEARN to crane, if they never try it?

Everyone has to learn.

It cracked me up. My toon is a 109-laffer with maxed gags. The first time I went to CFO, I had a 106-laffer whisper to me that it was "too risky" for me to be there.

He was probably right...despite the fact that I had been there on test before...but I was AWFUL at stomping the goons...and even worse at the cranes.

With help from friends, though, I've improved my stomping skills. It just took some patience (from me AND other toons) and the help and advice from more experienced players.

So what if you go sad. Chalk it up to a learning experience. It's only beans. Just have fun. That's what matters.

Trap helps lure. A trap, followed by throw or squirt or drop, will kill a 12. If you know how (and WHEN) to trap, it can be very helpful. NO gag, by itself, will kill a 12. It takes teamwork. With teamwork, you can do ANYTHING!

lol..ok..u are right about teamwork...but she will go off and do this on here own..when everyone else is working to kill the other 12 or 11...i should have made that more clear..I agree..team work is important and that is when u can do anything..
