LOL - My comment was to explain how the SAME scenario can happen regardless of the suit level of the toons.
I wish I had $1 for every time a post is misinterpreted - you and I could BOTH retire. I can stomp - and do quite often - I stomped for myself on that run. I can crane - and do quite often - there was an available crane on that run. BTW - I do believe I said that I was NOT upset with that loss and that it was to demonstrate how the "noobie" scenario can and will happen at any suit level in ad-hoc groups. |

I wasn't talking to you either about not reading before posting. Those words were for folks like beef and dingbat. I play to win, and so I choose to take the most helpful post on random runs to put me in a place to win. Everyone else is free to do whatever it is that they find fun. Good Luck.

[quote=WizardHawk]The most important job in the CFO battle is stomping BY FAR. I have done many random runs and still never gone sad on one (had to bail on 3 or 4 when last toon standing) and I don't care who goes with me. I'll take as many sc's as will jump on the elevator. Why have I been so lucky as to not experience all the lost runs so many here face? I start off stomping EVERY TIME I'm on a solo run. My goal is to treasure farm as many as possible and keep the two toons on whatever side of the door I'm on as safe as possible. I look up from time to time to get a feel for how each of the crane operators are doing. It is my exerience that even 4 total new players on crane will get it before the end of their very first run. It isn't rocket science that once he has a safe on his head you cannot damage him. Really, so what if they toss a few on while learning? We all did it and we all managed to win before we were really good at it didn't we?
I stomp and create as many treasures as I can and wait to see if the team can hold together when the CFO is red. If not, I'll jump on crane THEN and finish him off. What causes the end to so many random runs is the lack of available treasures for everyone when the reds come out. Everyone is too busy running around trying to heal themselves to have anyone take a crane and get a little support for that last shot. Work on dropping as many treasures as possible and you drastically reduce that problem! QUOTE] I totally agree with wizard hawk. My son is great at the crane , but usually isnt around to help my toon at cfo. Since I'm not very good at the crane (especially with pc lag) I always stomp goons. So he told me that the 2 most important things to do are 1. stomp as many goons as possible, thereby creating a large number of treasures to be used throughout (and especially later if the battle continues). and 2. Stay near at least one craner to protect. Sometimes you have time to protect more than one craner, but if things are pretty harried, try to pick the best craner and try to protect them by stomping away at anything that comes close. This will also create treasures fo the craner to get. But the most important thing that I try to remember is that it is just a game. If I lose at cfo, then I can go in that much quicker (no bucks to get you know.lol)

Everyone has to learn. It cracked me up. My toon is a 109-laffer with maxed gags. The first time I went to CFO, I had a 106-laffer whisper to me that it was "too risky" for me to be there. He was probably right...despite the fact that I had been there on test before...but I was AWFUL at stomping the goons...and even worse at the cranes. With help from friends, though, I've improved my stomping skills. It just took some patience (from me AND other toons) and the help and advice from more experienced players. So what if you go sad. Chalk it up to a learning experience. It's only beans. Just have fun. That's what matters. Debbie W. |
