Working Gags at CFO? Not using Toonup at end of Cog Battle?

Oh my! What an experience this morning! Toons working gags at CFO? This is not the place to work gags, chances are if your with random toons, you might go sad anyway, so why put others at risk.
Example: We all took major hits from 11's and 12's. One toon says I think you should use lure, two picking trap, one other who was down below 50 lps chooses toonup. That leaves me the choice of luring or Toonup as well, as if my lure misses, she'll go sad. I'm proud to say I chose to use toonup on her, taking additional hits. This cog battle was the worse I've seen yet, and I've seen a lot!
In the end I was short a few lps, no biggie! But the same toon needing toonup earlier needed 20+ toonup. Since I also needed lps I thought one of the other two full laughers would have chose toonup, but NO, they killed off the last set of cogs, letting this toon start CFO battle needing more than 20lps to be full.
Please don't work your gags in CFO, go to the bullion with friends where you'll get a lot more skill pts than you would in CFO. And always, make sure all toons are totally full before killing all cogs standing in front of you!
This is teamwork and if your not looking out for other toons, that's not going to get everyone through CFO.
I went sad in this CFO battle, needing treasures while jumping goons and seeing full laughers trying to take toonup on the other side, I will remember the names I went with, as the teamwork was awful, selfish and not something I care to repeat.

Wow, I completely agree with what you've said. I've had some bad battles in CFO and VP, but to be working trap instead of keeping others healthy is very selfish.

In addition to your advice, I'd like to add: when you have one cog standing, and your team needs lp, DO NOT KILL THAT COG without first making sure EVERYONE has full lp. Usually that means either doubling up on TU in case one misses, or just luring that cog and doing TU, then everyone attacking the remaining cog. Too many times I've seen team members go into the goon/safe battle with the CFO without full lp, because TU missed at the end. One time it was me who was forced to use a TU phrase on our side to make sure everyone was at full lp because my tu missed and everyone else killed the cog.

OMG! I'm shocked!!

Wanted to add something else here. Once we were expecting another set of cogs to come out and there wasn't any, just one more thing to be careful of. I haven't counted the cogs that you battle during the cfo, but wonder if it could be done so you know when you need to toon. Hope your next cfo is better!

Good Advice

I can remember luring a level one short change as being the last cog in cog battle and all needing toonup. I did this to make sure all were full of LP's before blowing the little guy away!
As far as how many cogs are in battle before the CFO, I believe it's 30 cogs, might be different other times, but the two times I kept tract there were 30 cogs.
Thanks for the Advice!
