Jumping in Cashbot HQ
Ok, I am **terrible** at jumping and landing on things. I've been in the new Cashbot HQ...two diff places....and got stuck both times because you had to jump to advance through it. I try and try until I'm out of LP and end up holding up the entire party.
1--I apologize to the toons who have let me go with them... I've messed them up because I couldn't jump. Last night I tried for about 10 mins...then my internet connection broke. I'm sure the toons I was with thought I just abandoned them. 2--Do all of the places in Cashbot HQ have a place where you have to jump to keep going? 3--Any hints on jumping? I kept getting stuck where you jump across and end up having to go under a stomper and immediately jump to the next place. 4--Where's the best place to find Loan Sharks in HQ? Sadly, all 3 mints and CFO requires tons of jumping. You need jumping in CFO to stomp the hoards of Goonies, the REAL threat.
I assume you're doing that task to recover an item from a Shark in Dreamland? Just go in the coin mint. |

Remember, you can still stear your toon in the air as you jump. Try it, jump in a street somewhere and move the left and right arrow keys. Your toon actually navigates in the air. So after you jump, and you feel like your slightly off just move your arrows to where you need to go to correct the jump. They have now made both the big gear room (there is a big gear on its side in the middle of the room - also the room with the stompers above), and the paint room (with the platform that move over the gook that if you fall in you take damage), both much much easier than they used to be. If you havent tried it in a while go check out the mint now, its much easier. Remember being stomped like the big gear room by a small stomper is nothing, usually less than 10 (the stompers in stomper alley with the holes in the ground do alot more damage more than 15). I see people fall off to avoid being stomped. If you have to get stomped get stomped, take the 10 damage. After you get stomped until the stomper crushes you again, you are invincible. That is you will not be effected for about a second or two after you pop back from being stomped. Plenty of Loan Sharks in the mints. Practice, practice, practice. I think I've tried a floor or two with no jumping.
Jumping takes practice. For some people like me it takes a lot of practice. Others just seem naturals, perhaps they've played a lot of video games. Oh my toon I've gone sad a lot of times in the jump-across-green-liquid-on-platforms-room. Recently they changed it, so it is easier now. I suggest you go with some patient friends :-) and practice.
