When my toon gets her 5500 merits again, I am going to take you Cold Callers in the VP. Because everytime I try to get into the elevator those blue suits will follow me. And, like many times in the past, I will go in with you and I will play fair. If the "group" goes sad, then so be it!!! After the countless factory runs to get 5500 merits, it is a joy to be able to do another run and bypass those merits. I will be looking forward to it.

Uhh someone - repped me for stating an opinion, thanks alot! -_- 5 year olds shouldn't be allowed on this site.
There are plenty of groups to help less experienced players, its not the easiest thing to try to hop on an elevator when others don't think you can make it. |

*doing the confused emotion* As someone who has played this game for 3 years now, and as someone who has a total of 15 toons on 3 different accounts, all various laffs, from a 15 to a 112 I can see everyones point of view. You all have some valid points and as I sit here and read these posts, it makes me uncomfortable in a way...because I am guilty too of not wanting to take anyone under 95 laff in the BULLION with me. I am an adult, I have a 50 hour a week job, a home to take care of, a 4 year old daughter that I take care of, I am also a landlord and that is another part time job, which brings me to my point. I don't have the luxury of playing at my whim...so when I DO get time to go get my bux or merits, time is of the essense. It's usually after dinner is made, the kitchen is cleaned, laundry is in, cats are fed, bills are paid and I have 1 or 2 hours that I can spend doing bullion runs or factory runs, and I for one don't want to spend over an hour getting someone through the bullion, who is working on their aooogah, or trying to get their dollar lure..this is not to say that they don't belong there...EVERYONE WHO PLAYS TOONTOWN belongs wherever they want to go. Disney has put no locks on anything, no restrictions on any part of the game, and until they do so, every single person that pays to play this game has the right to go wherever they choose...however I admit that I play my maxed toon for my own benefit when I am in the mints...I'm not there to help a lower laff toon than me get their own bux or work their gags. But in a way this makes me a hypocrite as well, because I founded a clan specifically to help lower laff toons with their tasks and working their gags, and this is the part that makes me uncomfortable, I know that I will help a toon if they ask me to take them in a bullion IF I'm not there getting bux, but if I am there working on my next CFO bux misison, then no, I won't take them in with me. Time is a precious commodity in my life, something I am sorely lacking and I just don't have the time to escort anyone in the bullion who clearly will slow me down... So if anything this thread has made me sit back and look at my own self, I really need to do some soul searching about my own motives and my own definition of what "teamwork" is...is it something you can just turn on and off, or is it something that you should exemplify at all times, even when you are playing "stealth" mode....something for me to think about..... I have a high laffer and medium laffer. I've been to vp on my lower laffer and so i guess i understand the two arguments. Also if i was a high laffer in with me, i might wanna jump off the elevator, because to be honest am i going to make an equal part in the vp? well yea because its me, but with toons who havent been in there before. I dont think so.
Some people even in vp walk away from their computers, and leave the work for everyone else. Most high cog suit toons see the importance of being at the computer in vp. I actually think the suit is more important than gags, because then i've seen 100+ laffers in cold callers suits and most of them are not as good as 50+ laffers in telemarketer suits. For example the other day 3 of us finished the vp because the 56 laff threw pies into his hatch while i kept him busy and stopped him from jumping and moving back up, which left the third to get him wen he was stunned. Also this 56 laff with a high laffer finished off the first and second round together. I recommend that your 60+ laffer and a friend whos 90+ go into a 5 story building and work your way through that without going sad, and if u can your ready to vp. Not a 5 story sellbot though. I also recommend that you find out what is involved in fighting the vp before going in there, because otherwise you may find yourself back in the playground before you know it. |

Basically, for me it amounts to that sometimes I have time to help others and sometimes I have little time and want to work on my toon. So sometimes I do jump on any bullion/fact/whatever with whomever and whatever LP's and gags the have and just go (which helps some of the other toons much morte than it helps me); sometimes I help friends that I have "passed by" with their taks that I completed long ago and have no need to be involved with (like 10 lawbot buildings) and get nothing out of (helping the firend 100% and nothing for me); and other times I do facts or bullions to get my bux and merits I needs, and I go with higher level toons (or just solo th fact) that I feel we as a team can get through quickly because we all need thousands of points and have a lot of them to do, so want to get in and out fast as we can. I play all those ways; and sometimes I am not able to help friends because my time is limited; and other times I do help friends and randoms. And sometimes when I help them it also contributes to my goals, and sometimes it does not. I guess I have resolved not to feel confused or hypocritical about those issues anymore (believe I have been through those feeling in my mind); but do sometimes wish I could communicate my particular needs/time constraints better to those aorund me. It's just how it goes. ![]() Cheers, Martek

I also think it is kind of irritating having low laffers follow us around. My friend and I go to an average populated district and stay in the VP lobby. We stay to one side and if there isn't a person with a higher suit, all the low laff toons (I mean low laffers, like 26 somehow) come up to us and say "Let's go in the elevator!" "Let's go fight the VP!" After about 15 people saying this, my friend and I move to the other side of the room. They follow us and repeat the phrases. Then, we do the glitch thing at the side of the elevator to get behind it, we see all of the toons bunching up in that spot trying to get to us. It's kind of funny to watch.

The stupist thing ppl acualy do is go in the highst disc and waste time trying to get in a vp with over 30 toons hoping in the same time not know if someones in or out or whos in or wat the timer is or if ur friends in and lag isuses these cause panic also the fear of being ditched for high and low laffers these i think are the main reasons ppl jump. Or if someone is just messing around cause they have nothing else to do
take note. if you wana go in a easy vp i find this really odd at around very late up the high laffers prowl around doing vp's and cfo's lol. to low laffers i don't think the high laffers hate u as a individual they just get kinda mad with the shuffle so but at night i seen ppl just take the low laffers in cause of no shuffling so taht reduces panic and chaos and frustration so everyone is not a hot head when there are not as many toons around the vp |

Yes I was small once and still am on other toons. Reason why I wont take a small toon into mint? I spend more time tuning up that toon then trying to get buck to max my 114 lpt toon for rb. If u are gag training. go with other toons that are gag training also. Let big lpt toon sound thier way thru mint.
I was a kind toon i think growing up. I did not vp until about high 80's lpt. and cfo until about 102 or so. I did try vp at about 70ish and decided not fair to other toon to work so hard to keep me alive. I needed to max more gags and get lpts up. I still feel the same. Its differant when u go in with sf. Then they can help you. My toon at 43 lpts has vp 2 times, BUT only with sf. Do be kind to us big lpts toons. We do also have small toon that we work. When I am running Queen Rainbow in mint I am on a mission. Beppo is only 88 lpts, he has only gone a few time in mint with sf. Be kind to toons. If they say to risky pls dont waste everyones time by getting on elevator. They will only run back to play ground and try again without u. Its a waste of yours and our time. I have left mint cause of small toons jumping on. Pls remember to stay where u can be helpful to others and not a burden. I am not trying to be mean this is just how I feel and have played. Thank you. Sorry i play 6 toons cant remember all lpts they range from 34-114 and 2 test bear is 17 and majestic rainbow just got to dg. |
