There aren't many toons I won't play with

Really, it might be surprising to some people (no names mentioned) but there are really very few toons I won't play with. But today I just added a toon to my mental list of those I won't ever play with again.

I wanted to post here just to vent, so pardon me for venting. The toon in question is one I have seen around for a long time but have never played with before.

I went into the mint with toons I didn't know, random toons is the phrase I use, it is not a derogatory term, just a term I use to mean I don't know them. Was a little relieved to see this toon get in too, since I knew that it was an "older" toon and I mistakenly assumed that meant this toon knew strategy... at least this wouldn't be a fiasco, right??

The laff levels were 110 (me) 113, 108, and 104. We were in a mint that the restocks were all before we hit any cogs. When we finally got to some cogs, it was 4 level 11 skeles. Someone chose fog, I chose ele, other toon chooses fog, and that's when it turns out, one of the toons that came in with us (104) had no sound, and didn't have maxed gags and chose cream pie. Ok, no worries, just change tactics. I am all for the challenge of no sound!

By the time we hit our second battle, though, I was in shock. It appeared that the 113 and the 104 were s/f, and the second battle was a fiasco. The only ones who appeared to actually want to kill the cogs were me and the 108. Call me crazy, but there seemed to be no rhyme or reason to the gag choices going on. Hoses against unlured 11s, or everyone using their bday cakes against the same lured cog. Absolutely no awareness of lure bonus at all. No use of trap against blinking red cogs.

In the third battle, the 113 alt f4'd out, and after that battle the 104 tp'd out.

Like I said, there aren't many toons that I actually won't play with... and I would not refuse to play with either of these toons based on their gag choices. But leaving the mint even though we weren't in any trouble because your skill level needs sound to feel secure makes me not want to take chances with you.

Have fun!

I'd bet those two only needed a few Cogbucks and went only as far as they needed to fill their meters. I only do that with SFs (and only with their OK!) or with Toons who obviously shouldn't have come along to begin with (e.g., 20 Laff with 2 levels of Sound and throw).

Which mint?
It really irks me when it's the bullion mint...
It's really selfish toonism, and a lot of that is happening lately as so many cogsuit levels require only one or less than one trip through the mint.

Hmmmm the next update will wreck that strategy...it will probably take at least a full run even for short changes.

I know you can leave when your bucks are full... however I REALLY don't think this was the case.

It seemed to have to do with the fact that for every lure that worked, two cogs were hit and unlured but not killed.

Toon 113 laff Alted out just as this happened in the third battle yet again.

Yeah, possible, but really not worth it that time. All the restocks were several rooms back, and they weren't that great of restocks for a two-toon bullion... and to top it off the other toon and I weren't friends and had never played together before. Just wasn't worth it, so when she suggested let's go back to the playground I agreed.

And yes, it wasn't you
