Sellbot HQ: Stinky 107-laffer (all max'ed gags, no Drop)

Caution - there's a stinky 107-laffer (all gags max'ed, no Drop) on the loose

I can't name the toon due to forum rules, but look out for a 107-laff pink mouse in the Sellbot Factory who is bent on griefing on purpose.

We had three toons (another 5x-laff, a 106, and myself) at the elevator. The 107-laffer jumps into the elevator at the last second, but I figured "the more, the merrier!" Boy was I wrong.

It started well enough - we were all following a specific route, when the 107-laffer breaks to the paint mixer... No big deal, we remaining three waited QUITE a while and after no response, we go for the Warehouse battle.

Well, that's what the 107 was waiting for - somehow the bugger got to the silos before we were even done with it (in other words, nobody had yet hit the button to allow access to the silos).

By the time we finished the Warehouse battle, we got the whisper message <107-laffer> is fighting the Foreman!

Several "Wait for me!" (etc.) were met with "Ha ha!" and "I need to defeat some Factory Foremen." messages. Of course, out come the "You stink!"s and the "Play dead!"s...

Well, we were able to get to the Center Silo before he was done, so what did he end up doing? Purposely waiting for the other two toons to select their gags (both Drop) before he picked sound and a nice "Ha ha!"... Of course he waited until 1 second so there was no time for me to wait and let them change gags...

So, beware - there's apparently a glitch that allows toons to jump right to the Center Silo without going through the Warehouse... Some toons are abusing it and griefing others on purpose.

Thanks!

I can't actually "do" one of other users' toons the way you might be thinking. I took a screen capture of the actual segment (the 6-pane Choose a Toon screen).

I guess one could use Python to force the animation from the Toontown Phase files, but at the moment, it's beyond my value of the time investment it would take to do that.

Also, I had to trim down the animation frames quite a bit and reduce the color palatte to meet the avatar filesize limitation - that's why the colors looks pixelated. A higher-res version of that same avatar, same size, probably runs in the 60k range.

I'm not going to give hints to who it is/was, but unless you're trying to use a code, that's quite far from the actual name. If it is a code, you're still off, because the second and final letters in the toon's name were not the same.

As much as I'd love to libel the toon in question, I'm not about to do so out of respect for this forum and its moderator team... Sorry, but please don't ask for hints in this thread or in PMs as they will be ignored.

It's pretty sad when a high laffer with maxxed gags has to use a 'cheat' to bypass cogs in the warehouse and silos to beat the fac.

And it's sad that if he IS going to use that cheat, why did he go in with other toons and try to cheat them out of the win?

Hrm... So that's how they did it. I was able to reproduce it when I went in solo.

I don't really mind that the toon wanted to beat the factory quickly - it's the idea that he did so just to be rude. He was a latecomer to the elevator; we were already in it and it was counting down when he jumped in. I could see the argument for a toon doing this when they are in a rush and had planned to do a quick run, but it's plain this was just done to grief others.

That being said, I'd prefer that Disney fix all glitches - it USED to be that Disney's designs were well-maintained, seeking perfection. I remember a *cough* long *cough* time ago, I visited Epcot with my then-High School Physics class - we noticed some machinery was visible at one of the attractions and notified one of the cast members. We were told a technician would make sure it was fixed, and sure enough, the next year I returned and the flaw was removed. These days, they're all about throwing together "travelling carnival" quality rides for the quick buck. But, I digress...

Oopsie, I did it wrong, And, No, I wasn't doing it in a code, I just blurted out every other letter.
