Foursome Victorious in CFO

Yesterday afternoon, four Toons had just finished running through the Mint getting those pesky Cogbucks and were ready for another fun time smacking the CFO around....we all checked with other friends to see who was ready. Alas, everyone was already in a battle or running the Mint for bucks.

So we decided to just head on in to the Lobby and hop on the elevator and take whoever joins us to see the CFO. We march up the steps into the elevator, announcing "Let's Go", "One More" and some small suited toons hop in with us. Great, we have 8...full elevator and we're helping some other toons too.

Timer is slowly going down, one hops off...maybe a little nervous, maybe he'll hop back on, getting close to 0 and we have 7 - easy, we can do this. Ooof, right before the doors close, 2 more hop off....5 riding up, we can still do this. Ooops - there he goes, hit Alt F4 - oh well.

So it's four of us...we can all communicate with sf chat and decide, let's go for it. Worst that happens is we land in the playground with a sad face and an empty gag bag....

Master Chip Wonderslam and Lady Freckles Featherbee launch the attack from one side, while two incredibly tall Toons, Ugly Hulateeth and Unglued work on the other side. Ugly Hula has no lure and Unglued is under 100 Laff points to add a little extra interest to things.

Chip and I decide we'll lure em in, kill off the big guys and save the little guys - they don't hurt you too much if they step back! Great strategy, worked like a charm - we were a tad scared when faced with a row of cogs, the highest of which was Level 4. Yikes, Run, We are in Trouble!

Finally we destroy the last cog on our side and knowing that Unglued is out of Lure on the other side, run our Toony legs over to see if they need help. Of course they have it all under control and are getting ready to finish off the last two cogs. Quick toon up all around, Kaboom goes the cog and we're ready for the final battle.

Battle plan puts Master Chip and Unglued on the cranes while Ugly Hula and I stomp - we stick to one side and leave the goons on the other side alone. Occasionally one would try to sneak over to our side, so we quickly stomped those. Chip and Unglued have him at Orange in no time and as I'm stomping, (and explaining to a friend that Yes, I'm in CFO again and there are are four of us - lol) I glance up and notice he's on red - don't panic, we're almost there. Keep stomping - and Tah Dah, he gives up! What a rush - we did it and had a blast!

To my friends in there with me - Master Chip, Ugly Hula and Unglued - You Are Awesome!! Thanks, great teamwork - let's do it again some day!

To those that bailed - you missed a great time! Stay on the elevator and give it a try - you don't lose parts or bucks if you don't make it. Grab some toon up and some gags and try again.

How exciting! What a rush! Great teamwork! I know from experience that at least 2 of you in there are super players and it would appear the others are too. Way to GO!

Your comment about the toon leaving when you were down to five reminds me of the CCG guildelines which state it is alright (and often advisable) to bail when there are less than six in the elevator. It seems to me we might want to revise those rules for the CFO as reason the guideline exists (low-laff, weak and limited gagged toons) is not usually a factor in the CFO.

Awesome!

Wow this was exciting! You have me on the edge of my seat just reading it. I just can imagine what it must have been like to have been there! I've done a 6 man CFO several times now, and found it was quite easily done with a strong group. Hmm, a four man CFO... Now that sounds interresting!

Good job everyone!

I'm fairly confident that my 90-something laff, Short Change suited Unglued caused a bit of the shuffle. Oh well, no way for them to know I was experienced.

I must say, the cog battle was the challenging part. My horsey ran out of lure but we got by only using a restock trap unite for Ugly Hulateeth. It was a NICE challenge.

As for the CFO part, we were like a well-oiled machine in there. I'd imagine our collective CFO experience is at least 300 battles. No need to wait around for 8 toons anymore.

Great run gang. I'd LOVE to do it again!

If you need another toon for an afternoon-run, plz pm me.

I haven't been there before, so I might need some help LOL.

Thanks,

Aboslutely wonderful! One of my battles started at 8 toons and quickly ended with 3 of us - two stompers and one craner. We managed to defeat the CFO but what a thrill.

Congrats to all

Smile Hmm

I am not surprised at all that you guys made it! I have played with at least 3 of you on test and know that you all Rock! How much in advance do I need to reserve to do a run with you guys?
Pink is only a few promotions away from painful bucks so Faye is now working parts so she can be a SC1 and cause the elevator shuffle madness.

Congrats Again!

I'm not surprised that you 4 beat the cfo alone since we all did that several times on test. What is impressive is taking out all those cogs with only 4 and having one side doing it with a significant handycap (no lure and a not maxed toon).

Curious, did you all think you got less/lower value cogs then what would come out for a typical 8 toon battle? If that is the case, we could all do 4 toon teams on a regular basis.

Well, I've done many battles with all of them. They truely do ROCK. I, for one, am NOT surprised. I would love to be in the next foursome.

I second the "they rock" statement and count me in if we start scheduling 4 toon runs. We used to do 4 person VP runs...maybe we can start some for the CFO.

I don't believe there was anything lesser/lower about it. I recall looking at a line-up with three 12s & an 11 thinking...gee, how is it that we (seemingly) get so many 1s and 2s when we have a full crowd of big toons with 80 gag bags each?
