Myself and 3 other random toons were stranded on the elevator, so we figured
why waste a good CFO run! Special thanks to Little Stephy Wonder Girl, Flippy Cheezer, and Captain Goopy for not giving up the ship. You guys rock! Oh and we were rewarded in kind - 80 laff TOW-toonup

Finally got around to it
Came to see the pictures and I found out we started something! Imagine, little ol me being part of all this hub-bub.
For my part, it really helped being able to chat with everyone to coordinate. Running a toon without lure does have its drawbacks, but it does make it exciting. My eternal thanks to MCW, LF, & mostly to Unglued, without who's lure, I never would have made it. On a sdie note: There was a time MCW, Myself, Sadie Huckleberry & Dasha went thru VP alone. Dasha & I dont have lure. It just goes to show you, you don't know unless you try. Thanks to all who help & congrats to those who try. |

I was andrew in this run
Quote:
Thanks for posting this run. That run was a blast, one of my most favortie CFO runs, and my only 4 toon run to date (willing to try anytime if anyone is interested). I was running andrew. At first, I thought that Angie's Hunny Bunny was kidding when she jumped on the elevator and said 'let's go' and 'I got enough gags'. My response was 'That's funny' but she didn't budge so I thought that I would give it a try. I, too, expected everyone to bail but I think we were all playing one big game of chicken and I didn't want to first one out. I'm glad that I hung around. I really enjoyed the COG fight and ended leaving the fight with several of my large gags still intact. The strategy that we used was unusual but effective. Fortunately, I had selected my gags (lots of toonup, trap, and lure) to complement this strategy. I was surprised by how relatively easy the COG fight went with only 2 of us and that I had several large gags left over after the fight. I've been on more difficult bullion runs where I ended up with less gags. You did an excellent job in the COG run and I'm glad that we were paired up together. (Sorry that the toon-up didn't work better at the end of the COG battle, I should have chosen pixie dust instead of the cane.....my bad. Could have saved you from having to use the toon up speed phrase). I was operating one of the cranes during the CFO battle and, again, I was surprised by how well everything went. I'm not sure who was on the other crane in the opposite corner but we worked well together. I threw a goon and stunned and they followed with the repeated safe bashing or vice versa. My experiences at the crane have been mixed but I tend to excel when the other operators are proficeint (or at least I like to think that). Usually, I prefer disabling goons because it tends to be easier but operating the crane during this battle was a riot. I hope that we have the opportunity to play together again. I'm looking forward to my next 4 toon CFO run........any takers? |

Successful in 2nd 4 toon CFO (sortof)
The CFO run originally looked like it would be an 8 toon run but 1 jumped as the elevator was closing and another 1 ALT-F4 while in the elevator. 6 were left going to the COG/SKEL battle but 1 DISCO (Jezebele) and there were only 5. Unfortuately, 4 were paired on 1 side and 1 was left to fend for themselves on the other side. Needless to say, the single toon didn't last long. This left just the 4 of us on one side (which is why I say sortof in the title). Obviously, the fight was much easier with 4 on the same side and I doubt that the lone toon took out very many COGS/SKEL before going SAD. So, that left just the 4 of us going into the CFO fight.
The four toons were: Andrew (me) Melissa (RB39 on her way to RB40 with this win) Sandy Electrospeed Doctor Jellyroll Bumpennerd I knew that Melissa was an excellent craner from lots of previous runs with her and that I could hold my own with at least 1 good craner helping me. Sandy Electrospeed provided goon disabling along with Doctor Jellyroll Bumpennerd at the beginning. I think that Doctor Jellyroll Bumpennerd hopped onto one of the cranes and provide the 3rd crane attacking the CFO. Once the 3 craner came online, things went quickly and the CFO was flashing red. Lots of red goonies started appearing and there was some time spent cleaning up a couple of cranes which allowed the CFO to put on a safe. I hoped on a crane and quickly knocked off the safe before a couple of red goonies swarmed onto my location. I was disabling the goonies when someone else must have thrown a goonie, because the CFO had enough and was off to catch his train. Thanks to each of these other toons in this run. I really LOVE doing these fights with less than 8 toons and it makes the experience much more enjoyable and memorable. Sorry to the lone toon on the other side of the COG/SKEL fight. You drew the short stick on this fight and I'm sorry we could not do anything to help you. Congratulations to Melissa who was just promoted to Robber Barron 40 (115 LAFF).
