I think 4 toons beating both phases is very impressive. The CFO himself
seems notably (not enormously) more difficult on Open compared to TEST. This was a great achievement for the toons involved. Only they know how victorious it was since each run has its own dynamics. Becoming proficient at the CFO battle (or the cog fight beforehand for that matter) with only a few toons doesn't make it any less impressive. It just makes some of us who have become proficient at it less impressed when others accomplish it. I for one am and will always be impressed. We applaud these guys because it's the experience, the feeling of victory, and the circumstances in which they occured that makes it great, not necessarily the accomplishment itself. Stories like these are bound to continue to be told over time, but they will never be received with the same feeling of accomplishment than what the author experienced. Reading them does make us harken back to times when we had similar adventures and it's out of that excitement that the praise rises. Well done gang

Another 4 toon win...
Lady Freckles Featherbee, Lady Bumblebee, Little Zany, and I did a 4 toon CFO today. We were the only ones ready and thought it would be fun to do. Turns out with the right people it is actually fairly easy to do.
We did not all stay on the same side for the whole thing because which ever side we were on stopped having goons come out lol. Even with several crane shifts the battle went well and things never seemed to get out of control. But then I had an awesome team with me.

Methinks a new trend has been established. I've got three of my toons suited up. Give me a hollar and we'll drive that CFO into the train.

![]() I have to say it was totally different this time - we just could not stay on one side to stomp and crane. Wizard is right - we'd stomp a few goons and then they just refused to come out of the door, so we'd all switch and play again on the other side. Thanks guys - you all rock! I hadn't planned on doing another one of these so soon, but as we were all ready, it seemed like a fun idea. Even more interesting as I was only sf with one of the other toons. ![]() LFF's merits will soon be at that very painful stage, so I will be running Sqweaky through there soon too - she would love to join some of her friends in trying this.

Congrats you guys!
Love the pics I haven't seen so much toon-up around the CFO since playing on test. I have tried to do it several times on open but toons panic early on in the game using them for only a few lost points.Would also love to join y'all for a run sometime. I almost have my second toon ready to go since Pink is doing the endless 8900 bucks runs. Pink

Was alot of fun
I always love the chance to do this sort of stuff. When you have great players like the ones I was fortunate to be with makes it a TON of fun. Can you believe we actually won with me on crane...phew.. too much pressure.. I'm much better at stomping. Thanks for a GREAT run.
Pink and Deputy when your ready give me a hollar. You can count me in. Thanks again.

Four Toon CFO
I happened to find myself with just three other toons on the CFO elevator last night (Angie's Hunny Bunny, Little Black Curl and andrew). I was sure that once the doors closed, they'd hop off, but it seemed they were all willing to give a little Tightwad a chance. I have maxxed gags, my other toon is a Robber Baron and I've had many successful CFOs on test with a 65 lp toon, but they didn't know that. It was an awesome run, and a huge rush!
The cog round was just as hard as with a full group. I followed the toon named andrew's lead during the battle sequence and we did a great job! We didn't leave the little guys around, but ended up sounding the low and midlevel cogs and just doing tu when one of us got around 50 lp. The battle against the CFO himself wasn't what I expected after reading this thread (I had done so before this battle, so I had certain expectations). The craners were on opposite sides of the room most of the time and the stompers ran around the room covering both cranes. It was definately challenging but there were so many treasures around that when I got swarmed by goons and went down to 33 lp, I was able to quickly get a tu to 91. The end was the hardest part, often someone would get on a crane and knock the helmet off, only to stun him with only one goon before they'd have to stomp around them. Sometimes there was only one crane going, which takes much longer to do once the helmet starts popping on. But, in the end, we beat the CFO! I was amazed, excited and so jazzed that it took me 1 1/2 hours to finally calm down and go to bed! The best part, other than knowing this can be done, was that we got the "Restock all gags" phrase! Amazing job guys, thank you! (I've tried to attach some pictures, but was so busy during the safe battle that I didn't even think to take pictures of that!) |
