Wow, short change to money bags without going sad!!! Consider yourself lucky! Those of us that didn't have the chance to play on test have gone sad countless times to get to the same level as you. Were all there to learn the cfo, and going sad is part of learning. Considering your level without going sad until now, I guess I don't understand your rant! I have avoided learning the crane operation up till now, (when toons ask to work the crane I assume they know how) I have taken the protecter position with no problem. What I don't understand is when I see all 8 toons running around taking toonups while the cfo is nearly finished but unfortunately has a helmet on. This is when I try to use the crane, but without protection, it gets me no where. When the red goons are over populated, crane operators can easily kill some off with safes, but my experience everyone flips out and all will go sad. My point here is one bad day of going sad for the first time after so many cfo victories, just doesn't warrant a rant! Remember not all got to learn on test on what to do before it came to open. And from what I can see, and I'm not saying all testers, I know several who are out there teaching us the ropes, but seems a majority of those that were on test are sticking with their own groups to see who can get that RB 50 suit first! I was here when Sellbot first came out on open, and shake my head now on how many times I went sad there before learning what to do. Seems to me, CFO will probably be the same, time and experience. Oh, and not interested in joining the group, I will continue to learn all aspects with others, even if it means hanging my head in DDL a 100 more times. Good luck!!! |

I think what is happening is that the first group of toons to get their complete suit were people that had a lot of time to devote to the game and/or an ability to be very strategic in their play. Now the next group is finishing their suits and they need time to try it out and fail. I'm now a SC 5 and i'm finally starting to get pretty good at the crane.
What frustrates me is that now there is NO penalty for failing in the CFO (no merit loss or part loss) and people STILL cause an elevator shuffle when SC 1s and 2s get on the elevator. People need experience getting through the CFO and who best to show them the ropes than people with higher suits. This is all IMOHO. |

CFO Frustration
This morning I went to CFO with a random group of all levels. I've become pretty good at the cranes, but always wait to see if there is one available. There was, and I began working it, getting in some good shots. However, I had to leave frequently to take care of goons, since the stompers were not always covering my territory. The fight was proceeding quite well and the CFO's light was already red when I noticed the goon population growing dangerously large. I looked around and realized that most of the other toons had bailed. Why? I tried to stomp as many goons as possible, but went sad when attacked by a whole battalion of them. What's up with this? Are toons leaving prematurely out of panic? What's the worst that can happen? You don't lose parts or merits, so worst-case scenario you have to buy new gags. Since most of us 100+ toons have more jellybeans than we can possibly ever spend, it's no tragedy. We could have won! Have a little courage, toons.

Count me in.
Can I join you too?
Pip, 105 laff, no trap. I play in the afternoon. I prefer to try stomping. I haven't tried CFO before, but I am ready, and I will give it my best shot esp. with the teamwork. |

Thanks to everyone and more are welcome to join if they like.
Just remember, Only 2 rules. Accept your job as crane operator, or protector. You may not be the best at it but we all need to be willing to accept the fact that someone else allready has taken a possition and it is not available to you. However if I would happen to be on crane and I get knocked off because of gears or goons. Then someone is more than welcome to take over my crane and then i will protect them..... this is a team event and we need to work it this way. I will be sendind a pm to all of those who have shown interest in this about a time that we can try to meet. Might have more than 8 but we don't have to do just 1 run. actually it would be kinda nice to see enough to fill the elevator 2-3 times.
