My biggest toon is a Holly 50.. Robber Baron 12.. (needs 8900 merits)
with 60+ fish.. which equals 111 laffs..

i was doing mint runs yesterday and did some with a toon that had 115 laff..but only needed 1100 cfo merits and 5500 vp merits.
How does this figure out? I was thinking ok.. 112 laffs for holly 50 with 70 fish. But where do the other laff points come from if theyre not a robber baron yet??

I also saw a 116 laff toon who wasnt doing 8900 merit runs either.

Is there some new way to get laff points that ive missed?????

The 4/5/05 update changed the number of merits and bucks toons required. At various levels including RB 41 a toon would need 1100 bux and with 70 fish and a Holly 50 they would have 116 laff.

This is all subject to change again...soon!

Since there is so many mathematicians on this thread, can somebody tell me if its better to do lvl 5 cash buildings in DDL than the mint for those LP levels? Im fast approaching RB 20.

I would do the calculations, but I have to take my socks off and use my toes too.

I dont think math is necessary. You are not going to get 752 bucks out of a building...do the bullion.

On the other hand...I think a 5-story in DDL can cough up around 300 merits...certainly more than a 194 factory. It's the time to find them and find people to help with them that can be a real pain.

Yes there was a change today related to the levels where you get laff boosts. Now the large number of merits comes on the level before the laff boost, instead of just after you get the boost.

In case anyone's keeping track: before last night's update, I needed 5500 merits to advance to Hollywood level 13. After last night's update, I still need 5500. It looks like I'll need about 60-65 long factory runs to get that laff point boost at level 15. And I've had zilch luck finding 5 story sellbot buildings and 2 or 3 other toons to take them over. That stinks. No thank you. You've got to be kidding. If the factory was anything but mind numbing at this point, I'd feel less frustrated. But it's BORING. When it comes time to renew my account, I won't.

I've run the full factory on test so many times, I am almost 'brain dead'. It makes me cringe to think of when Robin Bobin finally makes Hollywood on open. LOL

It not very encouraging to players when a task becomes so tedious and time consuming.

That is the most insane merits/bucks I have ever seen.
For level 12 you get absolutely nothing in reward except to be tormented by 5500 merits and 8900 bucks. 8900 bucks aren't that hard to get. Time consuming since you need to defeat approximately 11 bullions and if no sf's are on.. you jump in the elevator with what you hope, aren't idiots. Having the high merits and bucks before your next laff boost is fine... since you are being rewarded for making it that far... and of course... the key to bliss, unlimited vp's and cfo's... I can handle that, however... I'd like to know what idiot at toontown decided that a hollywood 12 and robber baron 12 must exhaust themselves in earning merits and bucks for absolutely nothing. I have a 2nd toon and she is a hollywood 12, searching for those rare 5 story sell bot bldgs that will, with hopes... 280+ merits so she doesn't need to suffer the dull and boring and ever so "no brains required" sell hq.
My other toon, bless his little heart only needs 1 more set of those pain staking and miserable 5500 merits til he no longer needs them and can enjoy his promotion to hollywood 50. I would personally choose 8900 bucks for every level of robber baron than 1 set of 5500 merits. One other thing.. what in the world was Disney thinking when they decided to keep the merits at 5500, lowering the factory to a joyous 194 merits and make 5 story sell bot bldgs *those being worth your time* so scarce?
Yes, I'm highly opinionated... guess that comes with being female.... who knows*shrug*... or could it possibly be, that Disney needs to wake up... help those of us out who haven't hit the big 50 in a sell suit and ease our suffering.

*simply complex - 105 laff, completely maxed - choose drop - penny3/hw12
*perfectly insane - 17 laff, level 3 throw/squirt
ps - and to think I started a 3rd toon... *somebody slap me now*

Is anyone else only getting 555-611 bucks for a full bullion run? My friend and I ran 4 times last night and never got more than 611 bucks.
