Toons starved for good playing

I have been playing my little black cat lately, and at 55 LP I am not exactly the bomb. I keep reading about how big toons are mean to mid level toons, or how little toons only screw things up.

I disagree with this.

I play pretty late because of work, and life, but just last night I logged on (I always play in the only busy district at night – always less than 250 toons). Had to defeat a factory foreman for frame 12 of my gag training.

I stood in front of the front door, and stated my task. At first 2 toons were there, but they made it very clear that they didn’t want me to come with them. They said “you stink” and “I think this is too risky for you”. To which I replied “ok”, and “good luck”, and waved at them as the door closed. One of them actually said “thank you” as the door closed.

So no big deal. Less than 5 minutes later the next 2 that came and jumped in, I jumped in with them and stated my goal. They said ok. So off we went.

They did say, “I need to defeat cogs” which meant they were on a long trip. I said “Ok” and went along with them. I followed them and let them make the first choice, and then I helped. One was working on trap and the other was doing lure, so I just finished off the leftovers. They kept saying “you rock” and “woohoo” and stuff like that. Which was cool.

So the moral of the story is, for little toons, is being patient. If somebody doesn’t want you to go with them, then don’t. Don’t be mad if they say “you stink” or “it’s too risky for you”. Its because we don’t have so many speed chat phrases, so people use what they got. You never know, the next bunch that comes along may really enjoy having you go with them.

For big toons, the moral is you never know what other toon the little 55 LP cat has that is trying to come with you to the factory, or the VP. So take them along, you may be pleasantly surprised how useful a mid LP toon can be.

Nice post...

If I'm not busy helping SF's and we don't have a full elevator load, we'll help out when asked. 'Course we do ask that the toons we help play well, if they're playing well we'll continue to help as long as we can.

BTW, playing well doesn't mean being a super toon, just play smart. Know that if the first gag selection is a throw, throw at the same cog... not a different lured one. Someone picks squirt, don't throw the cog to death and not let the toon squirting get experience. Work with those helping you. Think of your task and not your gags when you're being helped. Sometimes bigger toons have the time and interest in training your gags, but most of the time they're rather be playing people they know. So remember what you asked for help with...

Some may like my ways and some may not!!!

Some may like my ways and some may not!!!

But I am very easy to get along with.

If I and working on going into the factory with s/f's or just on my own. I will take with me whom ever wants to go. Any size of laff is more than welcome to join. However, if they cannot work together with us by, Throwing gags @ cogs that are lured, trying to freeload there way through. or anything else that is repeatedly counter-productive. If i try to offer them help and they just totally ignore me. I will then make it my mission to see they they go sad before the end of the run.

Nothing upsets me more than someone who works against teamwork. or freeloaders.

If they fight in a manner that is productive and obviously are willing to help out. I will make it my goal to make sure that they stay alive. I would go out of my way of killing cogs to make sure that they have enough laff to survive the run. I might give tips or pointers to help them out.
I would even do it for a 15 laff.

My point is, if you fight and are smart about what you are doing. You will make it through and we will not have any problems at all. And will actually be quite enjoyable i am sure. Otherwise you are wasting your time, because you will not make it out alive.
