The route I take is...

Front Entrance
Gear Room
Boiler Room
Pipe Room
Side Entrance/Stomper Alley
Lava Room
Warehouse
West Silo
East Silo
Center Silo

This gets your 581 merits per run. For 5500 Merits, it is just shy of 10 full runs. Some might tell you about a 644 run. I have done these and it's a lot of back tracking, and IMHO, takes more time then just doing 10 runs blasting through with sound.

My Mood:
I know a 644 merit run, this is how to do it:

1.First start at the Lobby,
2.Then go to the Boiler Room (skip Gear Room for now),
3.Go to Warehouse,
4.Go to West Silo,
5.Go to East Silo (SKIP FACTORY FOREMAN FOR NOW),
6.Go through Warehouse again then go to Gear Room,
7.Go to Pipe Room and do both battles,
8.Do Side Entrance battle (forgot the name),
9.Do Oil Room Battle,
10.Go through Warehouse again and go to Center Silo Control Room (Factory Foreman)

That sounds like the 634 run... the 644 is side entrance, warehouse, silos and around. I like a 637 run, front lobby, gear, warehouse, silos, boiler and pipe room & beyond to center silo.

AH, the little known but much quicker 599 route!

It is as fast as the 581, but gives you 18 extra merits... which times 9 runs is quite a bit!

Front
gear
warehouse
boiler
pipe
side entrance
oil
silos
center.

9 runs, and a few extra cogs afterwards.

the 644 run is this:

1. Duct Room

2. Wharehouse (skip pipe room)

3. West Silo

4. East Silo

5. Gear Room

6. Lobby

7. Boiler Room

8. Pipe Room (Both Sides)

9. Oil Room

10. Center Silo

The one u showed wuz the 634 run. this is the 644 run. i find it faster then the 634 but slower than the 581. i usually run lots of 644s n a day. cuz it usually saves u a fac or two at the end.

Agreed it saves you doing less factories, but it takes longer in respect to time beacuse of all the extra time running all over. The longer routes where the silos are done before some of the lower rooms take from 5-10 minutes longer than the route i specified earlier in this thread.
The route i specified gives 581 (i think lol) and takes about 10-20 mins depending on the amount of peeps in the fact, the others take far longer so infact by doing the less merit runs that i said i do, you will complete your merits quicker than someone doing just long long routes as i call them (600+ merit runs).

I agree with your statement about the 644 taking extra time, and therefore being less desirable for me. Try the 599. Trust me, it takes exactly the same amount of time as the "short" long run.
