Angry 100+ LP Toons not helping lower LP toons on VP runs

Ya know what REALLY gets my goat? When 100+ toons refuse to help under 80 LP toons do a VP run. WHY? Are you really going to lose that much, if by some small chance ya get sad? Besides... ya might be surprised how quickly these toons can bump up to 100 LP's and how grateful they can be for your assistance.

It also really bugs me when 108+ are too worried about getting that one extra LP here and there to help out a lower LP toon. It's pretty pitiful when 7 100+ toons are too afraid to go into the vp with a toon under 80 LP's. I mean c'mon... gimme a break. Do you really think that one Lower LP toon is going to keep you from completeing a VP run?

So before you get critical of these lower LP toons.... just remember how frustrating it was when you tried to go on a VP run and no one wanted you in the elevator because you were under 90 LP's.

Actually, for me I was able to go in the vator no problem when I was 80 laff. I once went with a good team and we had A 62 laffer (he was a telemarketer) and we still lost. I think this proves that n00bs shouldn't be allowed to go on the Vator. Besides, why would they need to VP anyway, huh? That's right, no reason. Not until 75 laff or so do you need to VP (toontask-impending)

Well... so ya know... I've gone in on a VP run with 2 under 70 LP toons... and omg .... we made it through. If you have 6 or 7 100+ toons... and you can't make it through the VP... it's because the GROUP did not work well together... In my case... one of the lower level toons made sure that the other toons stayed Tooned up and vice versa.

And besides that.... You need to remember that JUST BECAUSE A TOON IS UNDER 100 LP'S doesnt mean they havent played on a high laff toon in the VP. *catch my drift?* And so ya know... im 106 LP and I've yet to receive a toontask for the VP.

I never have problems getting in the elevator with toons under 80 laff. I think the lowest toon I personally have made it through vp with was 45 laff and the group had no problem keeping me alive. But I wasn't going in and making stupid mistakes. And when I am on my bigger toons in the vp, I have no problem going in with lower laff toons and tooning them up. Maybe you're just finding all the wrong toons to vp with.

Very well put CoolWacky! *applaudes* and my point exactly. Just because a toon has low LP's doesnt mean they cant play as well as, if not better then some 100+ LP Toons. WooHoo!! :-)

Hey, I don't blame the 108+ laffers!

Sometimes I don't like going with 80- laffed toons because sometimes they always mess up our gag plans! Like when someone lured, they used a bike horn! Seriously, this happened.

Well, I'm going to say this about that.

Simply put, I also have seen this happening around TT. Fina, I understand your point. I can also understand Trix's point as well. I have played Toontown for 3 years now and I've seen almost everything that there is. The reason why high laffers don't usually don't accept the lower laffers is because there is a misconcception about how laff is the number one thing that determines how much experience a toon has. This makes them think that the higher their laff, the more "smart" they will be.

However, this is not true. Yes, I am guilty of judging toons. However, I do not judge by laff. I judge people on their use of speedchat, gags and their personality. Laff is definately not a way to judge people. Most of the time, if you check the higher laff's gags, you may be in for a surpise. I know I was. One time, I saw a snobby 104 laffer and then looked at their gags. They didn't even have one level 6 gag on them.

I have my reservations with going to VP with some people. Personally, you will never see me go in with a random 61 or less-laffer. Why you may ask? Not because of the laff. It is because though they might make it out in one piece, it is highly unlikely. When I enter that elevator, I sign an oath. I promise that I will fight to protect them and emerge victorious without casualties. But when I walk in there with a 61 laffer, I know that I will break that oath. I cannot insure the survival of him/her as everything which could go wrong will go wrong in there.

Also, what is the point of having a 61-laffer going in there? They won't have an enjoyable experience. Unless I know them and am confident that they can do it, I will not go in as the other toons will try to kill him/her off during the fight. These toons become much like a sacrificial lamb. They take out legions of cogs, then the free-loaders just finish off what the lower-laffers started. It is wrong.

As for the 80 laffers being refused, I think that this is also wrong. The VP is mostly for anyone in the post-Brrrgh era. As long as these toons are actually capable of carrying their own weight aroung the VP, I'm fine with that. I'd gladly go in with any of them. Infact, in my most recent battles, I've gone in with an entire of crew of 80+ laffers. (I can't find a single 70 laffer anywhere. Where are they?)

Anyhoo that's just my take.

Just had a 64 use an Aoooga on 2 L12's and a L11 - all of which were lured.

Personally, if you're in the VP elevator with me, I HAVE to help you. I'd rather you survive and help with the pie throwing than die.

I've also said before if I have 6 friends or know there are at least 6 good toons going, I don't mind a lower level toon coming along. Unfortunately, not everyone understands that and we end up elevator dancing forever. Also, if that little toon thinks he's gonna train his lvl 2 sound on lvl 12 cogs, he's probably gonna die on his own stupidity no matter how often tooned up. And I do hate gag training in VP's, that's not the goal of VP'ing. Train in facs...

I am not bein' selfish! You just probably won't understand until you are a high laffer!

I've gotten sad in VP two times.

Reason = Noobs messing up our gag plans in VP.

Once, I was trying to be nice by letting a noob come to a VP run, and that noob used us! He didn't attack, I know he was there because he kept demanding us what gag to use! How selfish, using high laffers.. @@

Well maybe those 70< laff toons were like my six toon or Zippy... Low laff, but Mr. Holly with maxxed gags. Even if that were wrong, they probably still had 3 or more level 6 gags. See now, we went with an average 62 laffer (and an 82 and 96 laffer), and I lost 3 parts in that fight (which I lost)

I was lucky with this.. i went quite a few times by the time I was 63 lp onm my first toon (telemarketer ?) he wasnt a supernoob. but notmany ppl said its too risky i guess.

ALthough, I definitely have to agree with the original post... Lots of toons are getting WAY to prideful, when really, you cant get to 100+ instantly (although you can in a couple weeks) Besides, a)The vp adjusts to level (it will still be harder for lower lvlsthan highers.. but its a little different, and b) If you have good teamwork, lots of high gags are not necessary to beat the vp.. finaly..
c) It is NOT the end of the world to lose a vp battle! No i'm not crazy it really isnt!

Toontown is a game and was made to be fun! No one wants to pay 10 bucks every month to get a lot of gaff from poeple who need to put themselves above others because they have a better character. If too many people stop playing because of this, toontown will be gone. So lets put pride aside and have fun! Its only a game!
