This topic is brought up so many times it isnt funny anymore..... Ok it was never funny, but common.
Laugh has nothing do do with success. It depends on gags and experience. Persontally I'll take a a 50 or higher (or around there), as long as they have the gags to back them up. It just all depends. But gags is the largest factor in choosing who to go with. It doesnt harm the group much to take one or two low people along. But there's a such thing as balancing your load, which most people dont have a concept of. If your being told "I think it's to riskey for you" then it is. I say this because the toons your going with dont feel comfortable going with you and your sure to go sad, even if they arnt mean on purpose. Not that its your fault, it's their attitude. Find a group that's willing to go with you. And that applies to any laugh toon really. If you cant find a group maybe you should work on your tasks more and build your toon. Personally I think 70 LP is an average resonable laugh to battle the VP where there is no question whether or not the toon is ready. By this point the toon has finish LOM 2. I hear people saying "75" and "80". 75 maybe, but 80? Are you serious? Those people must not VP very often in success because that's ridiculus. No offense there, but jeeze. And when I say "70 LP is an average resonable laugh to battle the VP" that's on the open server. The resonable average on test server would be about 50 LP. And I have to tell ya folks, the VP isnt any different on test than open or somehow "special". Only difference is the people behind the toons. Last edited by LittleLemonPop; 01-18-2005 at 05:28 PM. |

I take noobs if they are sf only!
We have taken some as low as 55, and helped them to win, but the difference is we cant talk and communicate what to do, and they follow every move cause they know if they dont they will die! But if I cant tell them what to play, I wont take a chance and take them. I hate the feeling of vp-ing with my friends and some noob comes along and sounds the lured ones, or hits the wrong cogs. I will surely save my friends first, and that is just no place for an inexperienced toon with no gags and low laff points. Not saying low laffers all dont have gags but lots! I usually wont run in the fac with anyone lower than 45, it just means another person to battle at the elevator anyway! Hate that. Half the time I did before, and they would stand back and let us kill, then tag along! Really bugs me, if you cant get thru the fac you cant get thru vp!!! There is a reason they make you go thru the Brrgh and DDL first. They dont have you fighting in Minnies before Mickeys!!! Stick to what you can do, before trying something you cant!
Sorry i dont mean to be rude about it, just been bothered for quite a while about Noobs! |

Ummm.. So you say experienced players never VP with their low laff toons?? You may want to go check out the CCG site http://potterwatch.com/CCG/ and look at the members of the CCG. We have quite a few members who have HW toons who also vp with their "low laff" toons.
I for one have 3 low laff toons that I have gone to the VP with. One HW and one one victory away from ! My third uber is far from being maxed and has won while runnning with the CCG. FYI.. Most experienced players that have multiple toons have grown tired of the endless merit runs and are looking for a challenge so we have turned to running with our ubers. Just think it is best that you word what you said more carefully.. Most low laff ubers have a LOT more exerience than most.. Just check out my sig as well as others toons with ubers!Quote:

[quote=-X-]As for the 80 laffers being refused, I think that this is also wrong. The VP is mostly for anyone in the post-Brrrgh era. As long as these toons are actually capable of carrying their own weight aroung the VP, I'm fine with that.

I dont want to risk the chance of going with a low laff toon.I have hardly any time to get my suit back....and my laff meter.....and my gags....and my jellybeans and another wait at the elevator.

Well sorry for makeing you mad.
I gave up on the Cog HQ I have no friends on because they are maxed out. Also I could never find a group to help me fight the VP. 90 laffs are ok. and factory is very hard; with the low laff toons(15-40!)crouding and the repeating of going back 26 times Anyway im just sayin that I dont want to waste time.

So Where's The Challenge In That?
Quote:
A friend and I did the opposite last night. We took our low laff toons (one is 58 laffs and the other 62 laffs) through the factory several times with an uber toon. While we all had comparable laffs, the uber definitely had us beat in the gag category. With good teamwork and gag strategy, the three of us made the factory run look like a cakewalk. P.S. Special thanks to both of the incredible uber toons who took a chance running with a couple of low laff monkeys last night. You are awesome! It was a blast!

Check out the CCG!
If you want to vp and go... with some fantastic players ,caring people check out the CCG!
My toon princess lemon drops is a Holly 50 due to mostly CCG runs . And thats what I use her for is CCG runs now ...she still likes to go! I also have a 25 Holly, and my recent toon is a Gladhandler already. Like Pink says check out the website the statistics are there. The CCG I feel is your best chance at a fun...successful run! Look for me in the pit!

Noobs on the elevator? I vote yes!
Quote:
There is no challenge in going with a group of 100+ laffers. I have toons from 49 to 107 laff, and they are all happy to get on the elevator with "noobs" like HKK and Wendy anytime! Sheriff Trixie 107 HW23 Captain Melody 92 M&S 5 Perl 49 CC4 |

Since I started this thread........ I dont think one "negative comment" about going on runs with noobs has explained... with any validity..... why having to go run the factory a few times to get parts and Merits back is so bad. I mean really c'mon... so IF you by chance go sad in VP with a low laffer.... SO WHAT?????? Ive gone sad in VP with all 100+ toons... because the "team" just didnt mesh. there weren't any "noobs" or low laffers for them to blame the loss on. Can anyone give me ONE really good... valid reason why high laffers shouldnt help a low laffer through VP?? I guarantee.. any reason you give will sound selfish and self centered but you can try and BTW........CCG ROCKS!!!!
