VP, Factory Time Chart

* so now lets look at the time in Factory and doing VP's *

Cold Caller 1-5 = 5 runs in the Factory for Parts and Merits
Telemarketer 2-6 = 4 runs in the Factory for Parts and Merits
Name Dropper 3-7 = 4 runs in the Factory for Parts and Merits
Glad Hander 4-8 = 4 runs in the Factory for Parts and Merits
Mover & Shaker 5-9 = 4 runs in the Factory for Parts and Merits
Two Face 6-10 = 4 runs in the Factory for Parts and Merits
Mingler 7-11 = 4 runs in the Factory for Parts and Merits
Hollywood 8-12 = 4 runs in the Factory for Parts and Merits

Okay now we know that when you reach a Holly 15, 20, 30, 40 and 50 you get a 1 Point laff boost when you reach those levels of Hollywood.

Lets Take into account the time it take in the factory to get parts and merits.

Well this is what I see...

With the Holly laff boost happening at Holly 15, 20 and 30.... This means not including getting parts, the toon would have had to get 5500 merits 18 times ( 12 times bare minium). Well it takes approx 15 mins per merit run (bare minuim) if you are with very experienced players using sound, and running through the goons.
So Now lets take a look at the amount of time required in the factory just with getting 5500 parts not including parts.

To get to a holly requires 50 sucsessfull VP runs
for each VP run you loose 2 or more suit parts
50 * 2 factory suit part runs about 10 minutes each min

100*2*10=2000 minutes for cog suit part runs
2000 mins divided by 60 = 33 hours.

18 runs x 10 times in factory = 180 runs
180 factory runs @ 15 mins each = 2,700 mins
2,700 mins divided by 60 mins = 45 hours.

9 days @ 8 hours a day to do the VP, Factory, and required task, This is bare minium. You would never get off ToonTown and could not take a break to do this. Think about the time it takes to do the VP runs as well. If it takes each VP 30 mins @ 50 times to reach Holly 30, then that adds another 25 hours.

To get to a Holly 50 you are looking at another 20 Vps, 200 factories for merits and another 40 minium factories for Parts.

This is many hours in Sellbots HQ -

Talk about dedication with doing this. hehe

Have fun, hope this info helps many of you.

There are 5 runs not 4 runs for each level, you calculations are off. 2-6 for telemarketer is 5 runs not 4. The same for the rest.

Of course u dont have to get merits in HQ, go out and help your friends, why stay couped up in the factory all the time.

Take the challenge of doing a 4 storey sell bot build by yourself or 5 story in DDL with a m8.

Yup you're correct, u have to include the first level and upto including last level. each = 1 run.

So Telemarketer Set :-
2-3=1run
3-4=1run
4-5=1run
5-6=1run
+6 =1run
tot=5runs

thats for all but not cold caller which is correct.

That is true, but there is a problem with that... If you are on a quest for 5500 merits this is very impractical. Even a 5 story in DDL doesn't give you anywhere near the merits you get in a long run through the factory. Sad but true.

This is true, but to get 5500 merits I would have to take out at least 20 5 story sellbot buildings (20 X 250 merits per building, and 250 is generous). That would take me a lot longer than 10 long factory runs. Not to mention removing most of the sellbot buildings in the game if just a fraction of the Hollies did this.

For that very reason, TOO MUCH TIME, I have stopped doing the VP runs like I am obsessed. I am at Holly 24 and will only vp with my big toon when (and if) he is ready. I haven't VP'd with my big toons in 3 or 4 months and I still need over 2500 merits. I am in no rush to get them ready anymore. I have more fun in the vp with my 60 some lp toon (cold caller suit) than I do with my big toon. I doubt if my newer toons will ever hit Holly. My true satisfaction comes from helping others get through their tasks (read buildings). I was throwing that aside for a long time to just 'run the factory' and was losing interest in the game. Now I am back to enjoying the game again. If you see any of my toons around and need a hand, just give me a whisper. I'll take that building with ya.

You dont need to calculate to know that.

U cant do the VP alone, forget the bogus 248 sos cards, even if that did get you through both sets of cogs, challenging the vp on own is too hard.

Stunning from back, top side is hard most of the way, and impossible at some points. If u try the stun from front ull never get back round in time to push him back.

Even if your stunning skill are that excellent, if no ones hitting is body constantly he goes mad, and wont stop jumping. Try stunning him NOW!

Incorrect to get to Mr Hollywood Level 8 the first suit of the Hollywoods takes 35 successful VPs

CC 1-5 = 5
TM 2-6 = 5
ND 3-7 = 5
GH 4-8 = 5
MS 5-9 = 5
TF 6-10 = 5
TM 7-11 = 5
7X5 = 35 VPs
160 factory runs

Incorrect yet again and you over looked the fact that useing 3 parts as an average of lost parts is better than 4.

Number of runs in the factory for each suit all 5 levels merits included.

CC = 27 ( Cold Call Level 1 takes 11 runs alone)
TM = 20
ND = 20
GH = 21
MS = 22
TF = 23
The Ming = 27
Hollywood Level 8-10 = 15 (These are the suits that don't need 5,500 merits)
Hollywood Level 11-50 = 520 (These are with 5,500 merits) 40 levels at 13 runs.

So here is the math:

...27
...20
...20
...21
...22
...23
...27
...15
+520
=695 total runs in factory if you never fail on a fact run or VP attempt.

This statement makes no sense to me.....there are 40 levels that need 5,500 merits.

So a quick and dirty time scale just for Factory time. let's use 15 min runs as a guess for each run

15X685= 10,425 mins
10,425 devided by 60= 173.75= 173 hours and 45 minutes
devide that by 24= 7.23 days so roughly 7 days and 5 or so hours of non stop TT just for the factory....VP not included.

VPs.....
35 to reach Hollywood
42 as a Hollywood
77 Vps at 30 min for each= 2310 min = 38 hours and 30 mins

So about 8 days and 16 hours of nothing but SHQ...no sleeping, eating or going to the bathroom.

My estamate of 212 hours and 15 mins is actually a low guess considering you add time for any merit route that gets messed up or VP that is lost, not to mention helping friends after you are ready to VP. Ohh let's not forget the time to actually get in the VP with shuffles and such

I was not trying to be exact

Here is the actual Time Chart all written out for all to enjoy, this chart is done for the Time to get parts (only averaging 2 parts lost per VP) and merits for each Cog Suit Level.

This Chart done by us, was done without any time incuded to fight the VP, or does not take into considering going sad in Factory, or having to get more then 2 parts per run.

*Because there is so much variation in how many parts lost and how long it takes one to do factory, timing can only be an approxiamate.*

Also, a big Thanks to Deputy Monty for the use of her cog suit merits list per suit level for me to do this.

stunning from the top isnt impossible at any point, all ya have to do is use the view that is quite high and above your character, but yes he would jump constantly, and yes it is pretty much impossible. lol
