I can sympathize
Yesterday I tried to go on a run at the VP....we finally had a full elevator with 12 seconds left. We all stayed on and nobody left for the entire 12 seconds. Then when timer hit "0" - two toons hopped off as the doors closed. Still I thought we could make it until another toon must have alt-F4 right away so when we got to the VP there was only five of us left. Not good odds so I had to do the same. I felt bad and hoped that the ones I left behind knew how to do this as well and didn't end up trying to defeat the VP.
I know nothing of game programing, but I feel Disney needs to look at this problem to try and identify ways to decrease this type of activity from happening. Maybe they could put into the game a penalty such as losing a cog part if you jump off at "0". As much as I don't like the elevator shuffle that goes on before hand....at least the rest of the toons still have a chance to opt out at that point. It's when it hits 0 and the doors are closing that really frustrates me. To me that is mainly toons who are just there to cause problems. That is why I have been only doing runs with the CCG especially since I'm new to the VP. However if I decide to do one at any other time I tell myself I take the risk of this happening and I need to be prepared for the worst....losing. When or if that doesn't happen I look at it like a bonus, a jackpot of sorts to be fortunate to go with players who's objective is to beat the VP! Isn't that a sad way to have to play this game? I think it is... |

Yeah, had allot of toons give no warning that they had no intentions to go. They did not appear to be with a group and did not resist getting on. Without any warning they jumped off at the last second. After reaching holly 19 I got fed up with it and just gave the game a rest. Really at my laff there was nothing else to do.....so I understand, its rough sometimes when some players play the game with no reasoning what so ever. Yikes!!

yea, that happens a lot, but i have a solution. since once the first person gets off the timer resets, i only "hop on" when no one else has "hopped off" so they cant ditch you. once one person has "hopped off" no one can be trusted...

What's even worse is when the doors close and there are still 8 toons in the elevator, but when you enter the first round of battle...there are only 2 toons on your side. It's like...huh? I'm guessing they Alt+F4ed out somewhere in between and I didn't see it. Why go into the VP elevator if you have no intention of staying and fighting the VP? You had a good 25 seconds to jump off. It's just rude to do that... Then, I would also suggest watching out for the "bigger status" toon who hops on with all the Cold Callers, insists on "staying" and then hops off at 0. That's usually the one who is trying to get rid of the Cold Callers. I'm not saying that all of them or even most of them are like that, but I know I once had a SF who did that because she didn't want to "get stuck with them." We all have to start off somewhere... although I wouldn't suggest trying to VP unless you have atleast 70 LP (I waited until I had 90) just because I've honestly never seen a toon under 70 make it to the end, even when the team TRIED to save the smaller toon and actually wanted them there. I go in with 100 and I see alot of other toons with more than me who go into the final VP fight at full LP and barely make it out with less than 10 LP left. Anyways, my point is if you are a smaller toon, then maybe waiting until you're a little bigger will lessen the shuffling. If not, then you're probably just stuck with a bunch of "almighty" toons... I can only suggest switching districts and trying to find a better group.

i agree.. what would be real useful is a laff limit to who can go in the VP.. people jump because they don't know the people they're going with and because of that they don't know how experienced they are (ie if they'll use sound on lured cogs by themself during a toonup)
but to be honest, an experienced toon at like laff 60 could beat the vp. like my bunny Cream. i went through the battling part great.. and bigger toons died before i did in the pie throwing (actually i was the last one to go! i wasn't crazy enough to try and do it alone..) |

If disney would take this into consideration maybe they would fix it...but as they don't pay much attention, (but they are doing better
), they could use this idea someone else made up-You start a 'group' and people have to ask you to join your group. the group leader is the one who decides who comes and who dosen't. If you get on the elevator when no one is on it, only people in your group can get on at that time. Unfourtunatley there is only one problem with that...noobs consantly asking to join your group, and then when you refuse (you might not) they say 'you stink!" or keep asking you. To solve that problem, there would be a button in your shickter book to limit the amount of laff points allowed in your group. So say you only wanted 60+ to 112 laffers, then you would type in your shickter book in the 'laff limit' bar 60, and only 60 and up laffers could ask to be in your group. there is a 0.7% chance disney will look at this and actually THINK for once |

I am a Mr. Hollywood level 9. But, after ahile, I knew that I can do it with a bunch of 60 guys. You can win with them. But you might want to have 3 Mr. Hollywoods, just incase. I used to say nothing. I didn't say "this is risky for you." Because the others would. LOL!
So, it doesn't matter to me anymore. I'm not saying, I'm going with a bunch of 30 laffers! The total laff, should = up to aabout 500-600. For the total. It also matters about the gags too. The total for gags, should be about 100-150. Something like that. People waste too much time in the lobby. It was 9:20. I finished my homework. It takes about 20-60 minutes to beat the V.P. But it did take me 4-5 hours once. I'm seroius! But I knew the stupid elavater shuffle. I walked in, seeing 60 laffers. Out of all, there was only 3 people, with the last gag tracks! But, we still won. I am still NOT going with really low laff. But a reasonable.
