Angry Be careful where you fall asleep...

I couldn't believe what almost happened to me today. I was waiting for some of my friends to meet me in the VP lobby. I figured it would take them a few minutes to get their gags and get there, so I stepped out of the room for a while. When I came back, my toon was asleep and there was a red dog with me. He kept backing up and pushing into me. At first, I was thinking "huh?" but it hit me that he was trying to push my sleepy toon into the VP elevator! I didn't wake myself up...just sat there and watched to see what happened. Sure enough, my toon got pushed onto that elevator all by herself. If I hadn't come back when I did, I would have come back to a sad Miss Trixie with no gags and then have to do MORE factory runs to get my suit parts back. The nerve of that dog! I got pretty angry with him...and it's very seldom that I use those "stinky" phrases.

Just a warning to you guys since I see alot of toons who fall asleep in the VP lobby. You never know what some of those toons are up to in there.

There are 2 reasons why he may have done that:

1. He/She was being a rud ol' dog.

2. He may have wanted to help to make sure you stayed online.

yeah i understand, it's happened to me before.. some kids who hated me found me in daisy gardens sleeping near the entrance to oak street.. they pushed me in and made me battle trying to watch me die.. but when i came back i didn't lose that much lp and a toon that i didn't know was tooning me up and killed the cog. i said 'that wasn't nice!' to the 3 or 4 people who were watching and changed district.

i must confess that i've done that to others too, though. it just wasn't random.. was a guy that was real rude to me before. just happened upon him in cog hq sleeping in the pit so i pushed him into a cog and watched him go sad and he didn't come back to the computer while i did that so he didn't know it was me. i know it was mean but we're even now. :P

This happened to my friend and I the other day. He was asleep and someone pushed him on. I got on too so that I would still get to play with him but then no one else got on the elevator and there you go... it was so rude! I couldn't believe someone would do that! Anyhow, we'll both be more careful from now on!

This has been happening since I started playing tt long ago. It's usually kids just playing around. It's embarrassing but the first toon I saw do this was my very own son, pushing a sleeping toon in Dons Dock on the sidewalk (when we were still small toons) right into the street and into a cog! Oh, he giggled but not so much after I worked to save that poor toon and I made him help me too, including pushing that toon back onto the sidewalk after the cog fight!

I admit I have let my toon fall asleep in the vp lobby but I put him/her (depending on the toon i'm playing) downstairs or in the crack by the elevator where I cannot be pushed into the elevator.
I have learned that if I'm going to leave the room to put my toon in a "safe" spot, like swimming (they don't fall asleep while swimming) or on the playground far from a tunnel (usually behind some crates or bushes, lol). There are always new kids playing the game and experimenting with what they can do. Just be sure to put your toon in a good spot before leaving him/her to the whims of other silly toons out there!

Oh, it's kind of funny when I do leave my toon sleeping and find someone pushing me, I'll wake up and tell them "I think this is too risky for you". I usually get a laugh from them

Last time I went to vp I was going with friends. Some of us were waiting in the lobby while the others were getting gags. We happened to be 7 in our group and a stranger decided to join us. One of the toons fell asleep (she was a holly) and this stranger decided to try and push her on the elevator. I immediately stepped up and told him "Dont even think about it" and I proceeded to push her down the stairs away from the elevator. I was helping a couple friends try and win their first vp and they had no idea what was this toon was up to even though they were watching. I had to leave to allow someone to tp to me after leaving strict instructions to my friends already in lobby to continue pushing her back down the stairs. Fortunately she woke up in that process while I had stepped out. If you are going to fall asleep in the lobby, either be sitting at your pc or have a friend "babysit" you.

Lightbulb vp

if you do not have enough laugh points don't go and fight the vp, sometimes toons come in with 50 laugh points, if those toons fall a sleep i will push them in the elevator, because those toons make it hard to defeat the vp, exspecialy when they get in there and decide that it is to risky for them and decide to leave, which i have had that happen to my too many times.

Why bother pushing a sleeping toon into the elevator because they don't have "enough laff" according you you? If they're sleeping you needn't worry about them getting on with you. Also, must I remind you there are many super noobs out there with 50 laff and maxd gags. Most super noobs already have big toons they became bored with and are experienced players. I don't check toons laff, I check their gag strength. I see too many above 100 laff toons not even close to being maxd. I'd rather go in with a lower laffer with more gag strength than a high laffer without strength to kill the cogs. Experience, strength and TEAMWORK is the key to winning vp. Believe me, I've done enough vp's to know this. Just have fun in toontown and "Don't be mean!"

Guilty - but harmless

I will confess.... Back in Trixie's early days (around 50+ laff points), I had need of a 2-level building. I found one (I think it was in Minnies), and there was a toon asleep outside the elevator.

I knew I could PROBABLY take the building alone, and definitely take it with the help of this other toon, so I waited a couple minutes to see if it woke up.

After a couple minutes, when the other toon didn't wake, I got a bit impatient... I pushed him onto the elevator.

Through the first battle, I made sure he stayed tooned up, and as I was defeating the last cog, he woke up. Luckily, he wasn't upset at what I had done, and was nice while we finished the second floor.

I figured (in my defense) that if he hadn't woken up after the first floor was done, I was going to TRY to push him into the elevator to the second floor. Worst case scenario, even if I couldn't get him onto the elevator in time, he wouldn't go sad, he would just teleport back to the playground.

Okay - I know - that isn't much defense. I'm sorry I did it now, and I haven't done it since.
