I've gotten to the point where I hop on the elevator with whatever toons are in the VP lobby. A bit of randomness is a blast! I loath having to shuffle around to try to get 8 toons of any level on the elevator.

Anywho Loonytoony, I hope your kid hooks up with a good group of toons soon and that more toons just hop on the elevator and take their chances! Tell your son to be sure to take a bottle of super sauce to his next VP attempt!

My big toons are no where near Mr. Hollywoods but I do have hi end gags and I do know strategy. But sometimes I will look at a little toon's stats and I look at what is trying to go on the elevator and I think "No, I really can't help them." That's when I stand back and let others fight over the elevator.

I find that when I get on the first or second elevator in a crowded lobby, I end up with idiots and end up going sad.

When I wait and let the mess clear. Generally, I get in with a good bunch of vp Battlers. Good toons WILL stand aside and wait until the madness and the meaness clears out. I think patience is a good characteristic of a good vp battler.

Really, I agree with this. You should never make a kid go sad, however if you are going with a group of random toons, then you should be prepared for whatever you get. My main problem is a when people assume that because they have low laffs that they are automatically inferior, which is not true. That’s like saying because a person is younger than me, they are lesser than I am. While I can tell a younger child what experiences I have had and what lessons I have learned, it doesn’t mean that they are inferior to me, they just have things to learn. And they ONLY way they can learn is by having life experiences on their own.



Do I look at a toon’s stats before I go in to fight the VP? Sure I do. I need to know who I need to look after, but not who I need to look out for. If my son wanted to go into the VP, I would hope that there would be people nice enough to help him along. Maybe that’s just the mother in me talking but I think it’s a good example to my kids that even in a game, I try to take people’s feelings into consideration. I guess not all people do that. ::shrugs::

I think it would help relax the atmosphere in the VP lobby if more people saw a few more 25, 30, 40 and 50 laff Hollywoods showing up, helping others, and playing well. But that's just me. And yes, most toons do check stats. You only know that they are checking you out when your stats are somewhat unusual and the reactions to them, extreme.

Id like to see Good ole Ozzie Dandy make the VP by himself.... Oh wait he cant? Oh yeah it took "teamwork" and people to "help him" to get there. And even 'if' he ever did it once, which isnt possible, I dont think he could do it again and again.

Who really cares what a dozen players here think anyway? People will do what people will do. No amount of arguments and counter arguments will change anything in the game.

To good ol ozzy, I say, play on as you want. Nobody cares how you play or what you have to say. I dont anyway.

Yes, it may not affect the game one electron, but what if it what you do has an impact on the person who's playing it with you. I guess the part that gets me is the attitude that someone is better than anyone else. Yes, I'm a better player in the game than a person who just started, but that doesn't mean that I get to impose anything on anyone. So while Good ole Ozzie Dandy is free to play any way he sees fit and I'm actually glad he chooses to stay away from low laffers rather than seeing them go sad, he makes assumptions about people he has never played with. We call this discrimination and stereotyping. Nice for Toontown, eh? LOL. He types words on his computer about people he doesn't know and he knows they will get a rise out of people. And even if he HAS played with UMT, he hasn't played with me (that I know of and even if he HAD played with me, I'm sure that I've given him no reason to doubt my skills as a player) or with LoonyToon's son, but chooses to make assumptions on which he has no basis (of course, that's the nature of assumptions. LOL).

Then he tells me that I need to get to level 50 hollywood to understand? Riiiiiight. Understand what? That I need all high laffers to win a victory in HQ and/or need to ditch people because I'm better than them? That I’m not skilled and don’t know what I’m doing because I haven’t been through the factory 10 billion times and the VP 5 billion times? Well, the same could be said for him….maybe he needs to get a few toons under his belt to understand what we’re talking about. And if I get to level 50 Mr. Hollywood and I have five 100 laffers under my belt, what does that mean? Ozzie won’t try to shut people down by belittling them or continue to make unreasonable assumptions? No. It’s not a difference in playing style, it’s a difference in how you treat people.

I'm really curious to know who this Good ole Ozzie Dandy is. I could care less what he had to say about me and some of you others. He's obviously just another poor excuse for a player. Some idiot who thinks his level 50 suit justifies their skills. It might take patience & drive to get there, but not skill. He's just another player who puts his own needs above anyone elses, and somehow doesn't see it as selfishness. That's really what it boils down too. I've basically abandoned the Open servers lately because their are just to many Good ole Ozzie Dandy's running around. They are just scared kittens in lion suits. There are far to many Toons with yellow backs running around TT, and Good ole Ozzie Dandy is one of the ones leading the show.

Frankly, it was all these fancy smancy youngens with their attitudes that made me loose all interest in playing Toontown. In fact, when I called earlier this week and cancelled my account, the customer service guy was shocked that I was a charter member. Fighting to get things done is not fun no matter how fancy the cattlelogs, fish or HQs are. I should have been frank with Disney when they asked why I was leaving.

These hi-laffer toons have been around longer than the low laffers, even before Cog HQ came out. The hi-laffers didn't have to do any of those Cog HQ tasks when they were growing. Apparently it is like they don't know that times have changed and now lower toons need to go there too.

I know how some of you feel about the Elevator Shufflers. It is impossible for my lower toons to hop on the elevator without at least one toon jumping off. Is it just me, or does it seem that the toons who take the side entrance aren't Ozzie Dandy toons? My lower toons now usually take the side entrance, and I've hardly had to deal with Ozzie Dandies there.

On another note, aurora borealis applauds Bunny Summers! I couldn't have said it (everything you said) better myself! I'm finally a Holly (purposely taking my time) and everytime I fight the vp I go with the Cold Callers Guild. It's more fun that way!
