Cool A VP battle that I will not forget soon: By duckman reporter

Late last night I had finally got all the merits I needed. My sfs penguin man and little lemonpop had made many long runs to get the meirts i needed. It was about eleven o' clock when we finally got enough toons on the elevator. It was my only VP, and it was late, and I was hoping it would go smoothly and quickly. I typed to my sfs, use your sound, and on the last cog, I will restock it with my SOS. Everything went great. We took out all the cogs on the first battle with ease. Most everybody in this battle were experienced toons and i was not too worried about our outcome for victory. Well it happens, you get seperated sometimes from your friends. Me and lemonpop were on one side, and penguin man was on the other side. Things were a litte rough, and we had taken quite a bit of damage a few times, but I had figured this was normal since i've been through this before. About into the set of cogs, penguin man said that they were in trouble. Helpless to do anything about it, we fought on and then came that sound of a toon going sad. And then another, and finally, and sadly, penguin man said 'that's it.' 'im gone'. Frantically we fought, hoping to save the last toon, but within a few seconds, he was also gone. Four left to fight the VP. I had read stories about other toons that had made it with only two, so this was my only ray of hope. Immidiatly after the battle, with our four toons at full strength, we started to fight. There was some indication of trouble immediatly. The VP did not seem to want to open his door. Then, he started to jump. At this point, I thought, not agian!!!!! Am I in another one of those jumping rampage fights? The last time this happened, two toons went sad before I could even get back from the floating bug to lend a hand. Yes, it happened that quick. Then, he was stunned, and the four of us drove him back over the first ramp. I thought, mabye, this won't be as hard as i had imagined. Mabye, we will finish this fight victorious without any problems, as I had done many time before. We continued to move the VP down to the helipad and in my heart I started to say, 'success!' But, no the VP would not have it. This would not be an easy fight. I have not listed names of toons in my previous articles except for of my sfs. But these desurb to be mentioned. Silly billy, jumblecrash, and little lemonpop, and I, fought, and fought, and fought. The VP didn't open his door too often, he was moving fairly fast, and he jumped about every three or four seconds. He had made it up to the second ramp twice. We frantically kept tooning each other up and then returning to attempt to stun him, again, and again. Eventually, after a long hard battle, we were successful. Again, this was a valient team effort. Which credit goes to all the toons that were in this battle. I want you to know that no matter how bad it gets out there, to remember, to never give up. Never give in, and YOU WILL BE VICTORIOUS.

PS: To those cold caller ones with low laugh points that got left behind, be glad. All the toons that went sad had 90+ lp. (Most over 100)

I think this is why the VP goes on a rampage. I don't think it is a bug, I think it is a timing mechanism. If he remains down on the helipad for too long, due to toons tooning up and not fighting, then he will start to 'realise that he is in trouble' and jump alot more often and go faster. Usually this happens when there are 6 or less toons, because there are less toons to fight the VP. When there are 8, usually he isn't down on the helipad for long; he gets knocked off pretty fast with all those toons stunning and knocking back. A thing to remember, only toon up if you really need it. 100 laffers: do not ask for a toonup if you are at 50 Lp like I have seen in the past. This is a waste of time, because you are already good enough to survive many jumps and gears. I suggest tooning up when you get into the 20-30 area. It dosen't matter that you have to gather snowflakes or zzzs or other treasures in the playground after the fight, because it is a lot harder for a fellow toon to toon you up during the piethrow. Unless you want him to go on a rampage, I suggest you HURRY UP AND KNOCK HIM OFF!!!!!

Edit: I have copied this post over to a new thread in the strategy forum.

Another suggestion: If you have a completed task, don't turn it in until after the VP if you don't have to. That is the fastest way to get full lp back.

These bad luck runs are a learning experience

I had a vp run similar to this where we had only 2 toons throwing in the piefight, and although I eventually went sad, at least I learned how effective my pie-throwing really is. because I could clearly see which hits were mine.

I'm not good at watching the meter and throwing precision (it paralyses me from throwing at all) so I tend to just jump and throw nonstop while trying to find the best range and angle to hit either the hole or the vp without taking too many flying gears. For me, it works, and I was glad to see that confirmed ... even though I died.
