Arrow just take a look at this...

This is the results thread last page...you can check the older pages too. I post the Laffs and Suits of the players of my teams. Some of you make it sound like the VP battles are sooooo hard and scary and the only way to win is with eight 100+ laffers. I joined the CCG for two reasons..... (1) It's way toooo easy! (2) I got tired of high laffers being mean!!! My toon was Maxed (106 laff) when I joined, now I run a (101 Laff) maxed on all except level 6 trap and tune up. I've had toons as low as 34 go with me and dance for what ever S.O.S card we got! These aren't always Allstar teams...and yes sometimes we go sad or loose a player or 2 but we give it our all every time!

you all make it a challenge and more fun! most of you choose your gags carefully and work together alot better. come join us on a ccg run, we will make it fun for ya
Just a big High five to all of you! You all are truely outstanding... I have other toons that are maxed and holly 50, and I just wanted to be different, to do this because I like a challenge. Any toon that goes in to VP with me, will know that if I make it great, if not, I HAD FUN TRYING! I am a person who will not give up, but just wants to have fun. I do not cause any elevator shuffles with my toons, I will go with low laffs, if they do not get the chance to try it, then how do they know they are ready or not. I have gone sad trying to help toons battle the VP but again, it was worth the effort.

I am truely amazed at the CCG and I will work with them anytime. I will continue to go with them with Tiki Toon, and I will take my other toons in there to assist with any smaller toons wanting to do VP, the whole idea is a wonderful concept and give so many others the re=assurance they need that there are nice toons out there that will go out of their way to help them, and want them to have fun!

Again, thank you to all of you.

Tiki Toon.

My Mood:
As was said above, this is a thread that will repeat forever, because of the way many ppl prefer to play the game - no risks and judgement based on laff point level rather than the toon's playing abilities.

<<>> Pudgey's Story for the Day <<>>
I wanted to do a simple factory run today with my 102 LP toon and after a bit of a shuffle went up in the lift with a noob (26 LP and Sound) and a 51 LP mid-laffer. As soon as we exited the lift the mid-laffer said Let's Go! and TP'd out. Didnt even wait for the first fight.

I took the n00b with me to the first fight and after the dance asked if he wanted to go to the Playground. He didnt, so we pushed on. He passed when asked to (while I lured). He helped kill cogs as best his gags could (lvl 3 throw and squirt), and when we got to the Warehouse he waited patiently until I had got rid of the cogs and goonies. We only came to grief when we got to the very last group of cogs in the Centre Silo - with the mid-laffer we would most likely have nailed it easy. Back in the Playground the n00b was grateful and happy. Made me happy too.

I have been helped thru the Factory by a single non-maxxed toon (thanks Granny!) when I run my super-n00b-in-training (25 LP forever) and we have managed just fine. As Tiki and Mr E. say, it is a matter of attitude and how you play, not size. Definitely try the CCG - they live by that philosophy.

Yeah, that's right. Once I took my mutated Doggenhopper toon (25 laff at
the time with only lvl 3 throw and squirt and lvl 1 toonup) into the factory
just for fun. I ended up after a little shuffle and being ditched once with
an 83 laffer and a uuuh, maybe 92 laffer? Well, we kept working together,
I passed when they lured, I only attacked when I would've beat a cog,
and I cheered the others on. Then, when we got out, I couldn't beleive
this, but the 83 laffer asked me to be her friend! That's another
story for yall!

I just made my first vp run with lemonmooch. Am only 62 Laff and got on with bunch of random toons cept my friend Little Buzz who is 77 laff. There was only 4 100 Laff toons there I believe. I would have died trying to throw pies at the VP until Little Buzz helped me out. I didn't know you had to jump when the VP jumped!

Well thanks to all those random toons it was fun and we all survived. And a big HAHA to all the toons on the first run we missed because "This is too risky for you"

k ok its ok to take noobs as long as its only half of the group so the 100 laff pointers can toon them up. I must admit u noobs do make it a challenge.

I think if you only lost 2 at the most cog parts a lot more people would go on with noobs. Having to do the factory so many times is why a lot of people sound all the way thru. They just want to get the part and get out.

I'm just going to cite a common response to toons using Sound all through the factory, not attacking your quote... your quote was just a convenient place to start.

It's all about efficiency. There's no need to "annoy others" with your parts collecting... Find an empty district, go solo through the side entrance.

Here's my experience:
103 Laff points, max Toon-up, Lure, Throw, Squirt, Sound, L4 Drop
1) Fight the Duct Room (L4 Lure, then L5 Squirt the level 6, then L6 Sound the rest).
2) Avoid the cogs in the Pipe Room.
3) Warehouse: L6 Sound, L5 Squirt the rest in order

(I usually get to the East Silo with around 80 Laff or so)
4) East Silo: L6 Lure, L6 Throw the level 9, L6 Squirt the other two
5) West Silo: L6 Lure, L6 Throw the level 9, L6 Squirt the level 8, L5 Throw the level 7, then L5 Squirt him for the finish.

(I usually get to the Center Silo with around 50-70 Laff... sometimes I need to run back to the Duct Room door to get the ice cream cone)
Center Silo: L6 Lure, L6 Squirt the level 11, L6 Sound, L6 Sound

I usually finish the run with anywhere from 1 to 30 Laff. If a L6 Lure doesn't work, you'll need to try a L4 Lure the next round. Sometimes you will need to abort the mission, but I've usually been fairly lucky with my runs.

This method is also okay for merit runs, but don't expect more than about 200 merits. I think its... 8 for the Duct Room, 19 for the warehouse, 31 for the east silo, 43 for the west silo, and 60 or so for the center... you can run back through the boiler room etc. and L4 Lure/L5 Squirt/L5 Throw your way through it for extra merits as needed.

My experience is that going in solo is almost as fast as cleaning the thing out with a group... It's because I don't have to wait for gags to be picked and I go right to the top where the big merits are. I blow through and can regag and return pretty quickly.
To all you low-laff toons trying the VP... Keep up fighting the good fight. Us high-laff toons will eventually come around. Just please do us a big favor, and read the Cold Caller's Guild notes on strategy... even if you have no plan to join.

My best tips for all of you out there is to:
1) Make sure you have your highest gags stocked up. If your highest Trap, Sound or Drop gag is level 1 or 2, don't bring it - bring more Toon-Up, Throw, or Squirt instead. Bring level 3 Sound only if you have already filled the rest of your highest Toon-up, Throw and Squirt.

2) Make sure you're at full laff points. If you just finished your last merit, go back to the playground first! I see it all the time - a 60 or less laffer that's battle-worn and missing gags. Don't be this toon! (I've seen plenty high-laffers with zero gags too - obviously fresh from being sad and forgot to regag... please check your stock because there's no speedchat phrase we can use to warn you!)

3) If you make it on the lift with a "willing" group, watch for strategy in your group. Don't attack lured cogs you have no chance of killing, unless you know for a fact they're not going to be lured next turn (those Lures have round limits so keep track in your head which cogs were lured when!). Save your toon-ups for the last round of wave one, and for the Skelecog rounds when the high-laff toons are busy attacking things. We appreciate the toon-up, even if it's a feather for 10.

4) Have fun, and ignore the "You stink!"s - but please, if it's obvious that toons just don't want you around, it's best for you to turn around and work on your gags for the day. I've seen shuffles last almost an hour... Don't burn yourself out over the VP thing - the next one is opening soon and I think you'll see more players willing to help you out in the near future.

I was very confussed and upset and the attempts to go to the VP.. so many times I would go on the elevator only to end up all bye myself .... I joined the cold callers guild as a level 1 ... eveyone was so great.... no one said I stunk or that it was to risky for me... I am now a level 2 telemarketer.. all in thanks to the people of the cold callers guild....a little advice to the low laffers... follow what the high level toon do.. pass if at all possible when you can't help.. and don't take to long to decide, it's all in paying attention.... if toons lure the cogs and you know you won't be able to kill a cog.. don't pick one anyway.. do a tune up to help instead... just be patient ...your time will come to fight the VP... just don't give up...
