low laffer in VP

OK, I know my 61 laffer is not welcome at the VP. But I was considering taking him when he is about 75. It seems like it would be wise to combine earning merits with completing toon tasks instead of doing all the toon tasks first and then working on merits and doing VP runs. I may be speaking from ignorance since I have only been to the factory but is this a good idea?

You should go to the VP whenever you feel like you want to! This is a game for everyone, not just the elite status players. I'd advise you pose this question in the cold callers guild forum (its a sub-forum of the groups/clans forum). Read up about their mission and the advice they have for toons looking to get into this area of play. There are many 100+ toons up there ready to help you.

Good luck

I think 75laff is ok.

Although,

I'm playing a 78laff that isn't ready. She's maxed on Throw,Squirt, and Lure. She also has a fog horn that does 42points of damage. I'm holding that toon back because she only has Level 4 TU. It was my first gag choosen, but mostly solo'd with this toon.

I'm playing a 81laff that I think probably is ready. That toon isn't maxed on anything. He does have Level 6 throw and Squirt. He's only about 750 points away from the piano, and around 500 away from the Juggling Dice, and a couple hundered away from the $10 bill.

We are not players who like depending on others for gags. Gags are the most important factor for us. We'll hold out toons back until we know we have the power to make an impact.

It's not really about laff. It's about Teamwork, and game knowledge.

I had the same question you had when I was just a little 59. I worked to about 72 (most tracks were on the brink of new gags) when I went in I was very much welcome with everyone. Let's see. . . my gags were tuneup-3...trap-4...sound-5...throw-6...squirt-6...drop-4 Everyone was very nice, and we won! My advice is if your gags are pretty much where they should be for vp runs, just work on your laff a bit, and go in and have fun! (Also, if you can't wait, try the ccg thread, they help low laffers with vp. I heard its a great program)
