Some factory advice for noobs

Hello Mr. and Mrs. Mouse! I was tempted to reply to Mrs. Mouse in an earlier post, but didn't because the content was not clear enuff for me to tell if it was sarcasm or not. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt most of the time. So I guess since the last heated post that she followed and sparingly joined, she somehow has spoken with Daddy Mouse and now both of you see my posts and want to look for reasons to be disagreeable and strain the knat because I only like to play with experienced players. Well guess what, whether you like it or not, I have my style of play and I stand by it. I do not have to, nor will I, waste my time trying to explain my reasons to you either. Here's the deal! When you pay my bill for playing, I'll listen to what you think about how I play.

Mr Mouse your uninformed and mundane example at the bank does not apply because although I don't appreciate playing with noobs, I don't irritate them either. I don't make them go sad, tell them they stink, or participate in the elevator shuffle. It is nothing but a lack of intelligence, common sense, and not to mention meaness, for you to try to size me up without ever playing with me or asking any clarifying questions.

It seems like neither of you has started any posts, that I can see, and your national pastime seems to be to enjoy nitpicking everybody elses posts. You should get a job as a sports analyst and be a monday morning quarterback. That way when the coach goes for the feild goal and doesn't make it you can say he should have gone for the touchdown. On the other hand if he goes for the touchdown and doesn't make it, you can say he should have kicked a field goal. Get real! If you enjoy playing with noobs, great, more power to ya. But don't have the nerve to put others down for not enjoying this game the same way you do.

Being civil can also constitute leaving well enough alone as in my case where I mostly play on the dead servers in order to play the way I want to, and also let the noobs do their thing the way they want to. In your case, it could constitute both of you avoiding my posts unless you can disagree without being disagreeable.

I love how you think that 15 damage from a throw by someone with 50 laff is different than 15 damage from a throw with 100 laff. It cracks me up. To be honest, I would appreciate the extra damage that they are doing, and keep all members of my "party" alive as long as possible. There is nothing wrong at all with a 50 laffer going in there, level 5 gags for throw squirt n sound, and helping the 100 laffs out. Honestly, if I use drop (I dont have it yet), and I see someone using squirt on the same cog to help my hitting chances out, I'm happy. I could care less if they have 15 laff or 80 laff, or any amount of laff for that matter. If you get hit with a cog attack, I will toon-up you. If you use trap, I'll use lure. If you use throw, unless there's a better strategy available (squirt+drop, for instance), I'll toss a pie right along with you. All toon help is good toon help, regardless of how "good" they are in the game.
However, if you see someone use lure, and you use sound...... Oh my. Dont get me wrong, I will toon you up; just not as quickly as I would the next guy. If two people get hurt, one of which used sound on a lured cog, I will only heal the "innocent" one. The very next turn, though, I'll toon the "guilty" one up. ALWAYS BE NICE TO YOUR FELLOW TOONS.

Don't really mind whether you listen and learn. Your choice. Life is that way. I also don't mind when you tell me off. Grownups expect that when they post a strong opinion, others will probably express equally strong disagreement to that opinion.

People tend to judge you by what you say. If what you say makes you seem like you're mean or immature, then people will feel you're mean and immature even if they never see you act in the manner that you SAY is appropriate.

This is the first post that I've ever nitpicked. My husband does enjoy it at times. (This paragraph is only here so I can honestly say that I'm nitpicking!)

Dear, you obviously don't understand. I don't actually care if you feel that I'm disagreeable when I object to posts that I consider disagreeable. The closest I come to caring is thinking that--if I don't object--some people who are generally civilized would come to believe that your opinion is the norm.

I have small children who also play this game, one of which cried just yesterday over a situation that was resolved. My play does incorporate these circumstances. I fail to see how avoiding noobs causes them grief, and have yet to get feedback from anyone on this site to the contraty either. Your suggestiion that I am treating children harshly is the inflamatory remarks here Mr. Mouse.

I respond to your posts when there is something worth responding to....sorry it's not often enough to be to your liking, and that it always seems to be in the venue of pointing out an example of bad sportsmanship to others.

Until you or anyone else can show me that playing with sf on lonley servers is bad sportsmanship, or pay my bill to disney, your thoughts are pointless and irrelevent.

Yellow Horse, totally know where you are coming from. Seems lately it has been worse than normal. We have reverted to switching to a vacant district just to avoid all the hubbub. The old, send your partner to the back door ele-jump to scheme works wonders too! If I don't want the noobs to come with me, I definitely make it so! I'm too tired of us trying to hurry our way through the factory to meet up with friends only to have someone try to work their gags. On the other hand, there are times that _I_ go with noobs. In that case I play by their rules. I will help work their gags etc. But I always make sure to ask if they would like some help first.

I really liked #5,6,7! My biggest peeve is when three of us secret friends try to make a run, only to have another jump in at last sec. Well that part I don't mind as long as you play like we are, since we didn't invite you. But it's the "use the speed chat" that drives me insane. No I won't. I came in here to talk with them, you don't like it...then bail. We came to chat along the way. The "you stinks" certainly won't help you. You wouldn't want your group that _you_ jumped in on to bail and leave you stranded do ya? Likewise when I go with non secrets, I just play along and thank them for the run. If they chat up a storm the entire way through, so be it. You don't like it? Hint..open your book and turn the sound off. That will fix the problem.

Again, I am not posting on this site to be politically correct in anyones eyes, and could care less what you think of me. My posts are sometimes strong, but they never involve mistreatment to anyone in toontown. I think it is mature that if I don't want to play with noobs, at least I don't get in their way. I play with secret friends on dead servers and can't be the cause of any of their problems.

Hey Frank, I have no beef with that. I do the same thing - switch to other districts when the elevator is being packed. However, I won't jump off and leave to ditch the low laffers. What I will do is jump off so that I can go with my friends. If a low laffer happens to come along, we will do our best to keep him alive and give him chances to work his gags.

Let me put it in plain language: The only reason that I will switch districts is so I can play with my friends. If there is room for a low laffer, she is welcome to come, even if she might slow us down. My factory partner and I will not make you die - we will give you a TU even if you are obnoxious.

You choice is not based on any empirical evidence, nor is mine. I need not submit anything for your review, nor will I.

I choose not to run over everyone to get to the top. I do full runs with people when I need parts or even nothing. I play to have fun with my friends - the stupid merits take a back seat to that. The factory just doesn't allow me to chat easily, so I try my best to avoid it.
