If you are going with 3 other people who are fairly high Laffers (80+) I have to ask what you might be doing wrong. I dont think going in the vp is that difficult. I have gone in with just 2 people (Me (103) and an 80+) and completed it pretty easily (barely got hit)

Have you been going in alone?

If this is the VP - come check out the cold callers guild (see link in my sig) and run with us. It may be that you are not running with toons who know how to stun the VP or have strong enough gags. Read our guildlines, learn how we function and join us for a rip-roaring good time.

For VP everyone is right. go to the cold caller guild. They will help you defeat the VP
