knocking back VP

Does knocking back the VP work from behind? It seems to me it does, but I only see mention of it from the front. When I hit him from behind it seems to work but I can't tell if someone also hit him from the front.

I think it does...it doesn't seem to matter where the pie is launched from, a hit is a hit.

I think I found my answer. I had the misfortune of being one of two toons left at the beginning of the pie fight. From what I could see hitting the VP from behind after stunning doesn't work. Has anyone found otherwise?

Found out the hard way there...yikes.
You still see the yellow splat or is it white? I figured if it was yellow (which indicates a hit) it would do it's thing.
If they are always white they are indeed misses.

I didn't see the color. I will have to watch. I know I hit the mid section/back three times while the stars were spinning over his head and he didn't budge. thanks

I tried to hit him from behind when I was first learning to back hit. There were several times I made good hits and he didn't move back. It was then my assumption that you can only move him back from the front.

You can only knock back a stunned VP by hitting his chest or his face from the front side.

It appears that it does

My Kooky Tunes, my SF Lady Petalhopper and two Cold Callers (Master Von Megawhip and Super Violet) were the only surviving toons just a couple of rounds into the Skeles. During the pie throwing Lady P. and I were in the back of the VP stunning. I did notice one specific moment when the other two toons out front were having a toon-up while the VP was stunned and we were just hitting from behind. The VP did move down the ramp from our hits. I do find that it is rather difficult to hit him above that waistline gear from the lower angle behind him but the hits moved him...at least today.

We had a fantastic battle today. Nice challenging run!
