mean toons

I'd like to take a moment and vent.. Today a friend and myself had our little toons (70 laff) in Sellbot HQ trying to complete our tasks. Twice we were on the elevator and we would have someone jump on, reset the timer and then at the last second bail! I don't try to jump on when a group of 4 is together and if you say no thank you, I'll abide, heck, i even understand if there are 3 that want to go and will shuffle to be together.. But don't act like your going to go just so at the last second you can jump off!! HOW RUDE!!!! For those of you who do this.. and you know who you are... I'd just like to say... MEAN TOONS STINK!!!

I had that problem yesterday with my 64 laff toon. I needed to get 6 lvl 6+ Skelecogs from sellbot HQ. I kept asking those that were there if they could help me and said what I needed, but the higher laff toons never answered and just left. I went sad twice in an hour for that task. The second time was because we went in with 4 toons, all between 60-65 laff. Two of them left early on, myself and the remaining toon made it all the way to the center silo and took out all but the lvl 11 Skelecog before going sad. If they had just stayed we would have made it After that I quit for a while, when I came back I was able to find a very helpful tiny purple mouse who needed merits anyway and didn't mind lower laff toons being there I guess. I got all 6 that I needed in one run thanks to her So they're not all bad, just gotta look for the nice ones. If you ever run into my big toon, I'll gladly help you.

sounds like you are talking about going into the factory as opposed to actually going into the HQ. I know toons that do what you are talking about and perhaps its not right but I understand why they do it. When you have to do hundreds of factory runs and you always have to shuffle with lower toons that try and leach onto your run it gets old quick. Their answer is to just get rid of the other toons at all costs as quickly as possible. At least if you get left going up alone you can just bail out as soon as you get there. You are only out the time it takes to walk back to the factory from the HQ playground.

I do not do this to other toons so don't jump on me about it. I find myself without any sf's on quite a bit and I do runs with anyone available, even toons under 50. I don't try and kill other toons nor strand them in the factory alone.

And before you give me an 'elitist' this, or snobby high toon that, keep in mind that there are PLENTY of lower toons that act out of line as well. It is these lower toons who harrass, boss, and just plaing push their way around that have SOME higher toons acting the way they do.

Like it or not, this is the way the game is. If you don't want to get stranded then be more carefull about the elevator you jump onto. Try asking 'would you like some help?' to groups you don't know to see if they want you along. Also try sticking mostly to the heavy servers with lots of toons. Most of the high toons with groups that are just trying to speed through stick to the more empty servers.

This is a game people, just try and have fun!

No it isnt right and you should be ashamed. Allot of toons that are mean give them selves excused why they are justified in remaining the way they are. Because of all the mean toons out there thats why Im not mean. I see the way that some toons are treated and make the effort in my self not to do the same. I hope to lighten things up a bit. After all its a game, and should be fun, not something you have to prepare your nerves for each time you play.

Yes i was referring to facotry and I totally agree with bumbleseed, that you should find a less populated district. When using my big toon i've found we only need 2 to clear the factory, so no reason to hang out where little toons would be if you don't want them "LEACHING" trying to get help from bigger ones, and futhermore if the bigger toons wouldn't bail maybe the other smaller toons wouldn't be so afraid to get on the elevator. My friend and i almost cleared the building until our lure missed in center silo (twice). If we would have a third (smaller toon even) we would have been ok.

I know this is just a game and i play to have fun, but as bumblessed said.. you should not have to prepare your nerves each time you play.

Thanks Wildbubble. I have found some kind big toons as I am when I play my larger characters. I too will help out anyone who may jump on (we even had a 24 go thru factory with us and he made it!!.) I just get frustrated because I feel if they don't want the bother of smaller toons there are plenty of other districts they can go to!

If you reread my post, it says:

1. I don't do mean things to anyone, even when they deserve it!
2. There are as many, if not more mean lower toons as there are maxed toons.
3. my advice to the original poster was to stick to heavy servers, not lighter ones as you suggest. The toons that do not wish to have hijackers mainly stick to the slower servers. You do not want to go there if you are looking to jump in with strangers. Your chances of having something mean happen are much higher on those slower servers!
4. Ask before you jump on with a group of two or more! Ask! Ask! Ask! If you don't, you are asking for trouble. If they say 'no thank you' then just go on to another group. Since when it is REQUIRED to take any, and every stranger toon that happens along? I hate to tell you but we are all free to go with whom ever we want, or leave anyone we don't want behind.

Dude, actually Im referring to a different post where you were not so nice, not this one. I just am very tired of seeing so many toons mistreated for now "good" reason. I have played for awhile now and see allot mistreatment Its aweful

Show me where I was 'not so nice'. I do get into debates here from time to time, but I have never stood for killing or mistreating noobs and lower toons in general. I do try and help explain why some do as I have friends that feel that way, but I have always stated I do not attack toons.

And as I already stated, the 'mistreatment' works both ways! This isn't a case where maxed toons go around attacking lower toons for no reason. It is a reaction to the treatment they receive. I get attacked by lower toons all the time and so does everyone at higher levels. Just because we won't make friends with EVERY stranger that comes along doesn't mean we deserve to get a 'you stink' either. So many lower toons just expect that all higher toons should help them every time they ask, let them intrude in our groups whenever it suits them, and put them on our friends list every time they ask. And if we don't, we are the bad toons! Come on and get a grip!

Ok so let me see if I get this straight, I try and give some insight and advice to someone having problems with 'mean' toons to which you felt a need to make negitive comments to and yet if I try and question your position I am 'ranting'. How convienient it is to have your cake and eat it too.

I imagine the post you are refering to is the one about szlin and scott. In that thread I made no attacks on anyone other than possibly questioning why others weren't giving credit for them to be able to play the game as they see fit.

I have said nothing to you that was unkind or of an attacking nature. It is you that is harrassing me now. I would say YOU are abrasive and a borderline troll for such an attack.

Every post I have made to this thread is related to the topic at hand. I believe that there are mean toons at every level of the game and that everyone needs to try and understand what everyone else is going through. Maybe then through understanding we can minimize the problems in game. But there will always be people like you who only want to stir up trouble. Please sir, stop attacking me and just enjoy the game!

I am not a mean toon, in fact I help strangers, noobs, toonagers, and just about any toon that isn't bossy and there isn't one person who has played with me who could state otherwise. I do not deserve the reputation you are attempting to give me.

1. Great, glad to hear it!
2. True, but to be fair, we the big toons are suppose to show example and be the bigger toon.
3. We were on the heaviest (slower in your case) server and I suggested the toons not wanting hijackers to go to other districts (not so busy)
4. First, we were the first 2 on the elevator, so jumping on with others not wanting us was not the case, the toon did this out of pure meanness to get rid of little toons. Second, as said in #3 we were in a busy district, so it becomes hard to point out one or two and ask, ask, ask! As this causes even more shuffle for all those waiting to get on elevator. Finally, I don't expect anyone to be REQUIRED to do anything, the toon only boarded to ship us plainly and simply, he was not first, he had time to read our stats, and made others think we had enough just so he could bail at the last second to clear the area. so in my opinion toons that do this are very mean and well you already know how i feel about mean toons.
