Help!!!

Hi there, ok i have a serious problem!!! well serious enough for my noob toon!

ok the story goes like this, i started a new toon a cute little blue duck named "Lady Pearl Freckletwist" so i was playing and got offered a toon to hold 80 Jellybean's so i took it, it was to go see some toon on oak street, so of i trot, only to be told by the toon i need to do a factory run!!! are they crazy!!! my new toon is only 42 laff points!!! i wasn't even thinking about trying the fac with my new toon till i was at least 70 laff points or so, but now i have to go, soooo the problem is this......... will somebody come with me!!!!!

The same thing happened with me when I was level 43 (I think). I was pretrified but some very kind toons got me through it and I have vowed not to go back until I have maxed out at least 4 of my gags (just got birthday cake this past weekend). It would be nice if there was a tutorial of the factory showing which way to go and what to do. I would have been really lost if my son hadn't been telling me what to do. I need visual aids!

There is a really nice map in the COG HQ threads. Look for the sticky thread.

That happened to me yesterday. My toon is at 44 laff (my Doggenhoffer). I could have called Myghty for help but I decided to see what I could manage on my own... I happend to find two toons at 99 and 101 laff that didn't mind me coming along (naturally I explained "I need to defeat a factory").

The good news is that I know the factory and am generally able to pick good gags... the only problem was that they used sound right up until we met the foreman... that made picking the right matching gag tricky sometimes, but things turned out okay.

I feel bad for new players who reach that point and don't have any friends to help. They won't know anything about the factory, they may not know enough strategy to allow them to work with other toons once inside... and of course they'll probably get told by a lot of toons that they don't belong there and should go away. I know I certainly wasn't expecting to do a factory run at 44 laff, with only level 4 throw and squirt, level 3 lure, level 2 toonup...

If you go to the Cold Caller's Guild sub-forum (under groups), there is a thread there called Factory Foreman Escorts. Put a note in there that you need help with the factory and when you will be available. We have lot's of toons doing LOTS of factory runs, and we check that thread to see if anyone needs help. After you post, you might also want to check your PM periodically. Depending on who reads your post, you might be contacted with a meeting place/time.
