Limit on SOS Cards??

Sorry if this has been asked before - I really did look around before asking, and yes, I tried the search function multiple times with different search terms, but still did not see this info

The SOS page in my Shticker book has 8 slots. I read in multiple posts that if I earn a specific card on two different VP runs, that it will show that card with a message like "2 uses left" or something similar in one slot.

However, let's say I do 8 runs, earning 8 different clerk cards, theoretically filling all my slots. On my 9th run, if I save another unique toon - what happens to that card? Do I just not earn it? Do I still get promoted and use merits?

Thanks in advance!

I sure dont know. I have thought about it in the past and my solution was to never let it get to 8 unique cards before earning a 9th. I just end up using the cards that are what I consider not as desirable right away in fights. Most toons think wow, this guy is using a card. In reality Im just opening a slot. Lol

I think you just dont get a 9th card if all your slots are full.

If you are full of SOS cards (8), you don't get the new card unless it matches one you already have. You will just lose if it doesn't match.

That's why you see people checking their Sticker book between the two cog battles at the VP. They want to see if they already have the clerk in the cage.

Another reason why people check their schticker book between the cog fights in VP battle is because they want to know how many pieces of disguise they have lost. Not much you can do about it right then, but perfect if you wanna torture your friends with "haha I only lost 2 pieces and you lost 4".

And another reason is if you intend to leave the battle (ouch). If you see toons saying "NO!!!" after you open your book, now you know why.

Have fun in Toontown, ...Bear

well, i also look in my schticker book, to see how many pieces i lost

but, it does annoy me, when i have to waste a sos card, so i can get a new unique one..
like, with my last vp run, i wasted a "cogs always miss" just so, i could get a "foghorn 40 damage". there was only 1 cog on the other side, and we were using lure, drop, trap, and squirt.. he was a level 8, pretty much dead. my s/f knew what i was doing, but im not too sure on the others :\

The people I always VP with check thier schticker books to see how many parts they lost. So they will know how many time they will need to factory before they can VP again.

I wish Disney would make an extra page for those with over 8 cards. I've never filled up my book, as I find SOSing too tempting, though. :P

In addition to all of the reasons stated above, I open my book to turn my sound on. As a general rule, I never play with the sounds on. In addition to finding it annoying, my friends and I use a voice communication program while playing and it's hard to hear each other over the sounds of the game. I never play with sound until the last round of skelecogs and the VP. I only need it for the VP battle, but I don't have the time to do it after the skelecog round.
