Strange. You can't just SOS anyone. They have to be on your list. So the 75
was on your list and you didn't realize it. Maybe it was someone else controlling the toon (maybe someone's kid). I know that's quite a hypothesis but if I had a friend on my list do that arbitrarily I'd remove them. 50 friends is too small as it is. Either that or there was something the 50 did that ticked the 75 off. It's a good illustration of how we all have different tolerances toward other's actions in the game, that's for sure. |

And yeah again, I removed her from my list right after they all left.

The problem is that too many people are getting pushed to do a factory run before they are ready. Many people I know (these are older people like parents and grandparents), seem to be very scared of the factory. I am not sure why.
The problem is you learn alot of what I consider (good playing) inside of buildings. The static format helps new players feel their way around a battle. But in the factory due to the free flowing nature of it, it confuses players with less experience. Most of us old timers were 100+ before we went to the factory and had all of our tactics down. Now people that are still learning this game (I know it feels easy now, but try and remember the confusion many moons ago when it was new to you) forced to go to the factory go into what I call 'over load'. They just go crazy and forget all their simple tactics. I mean to actually yell for help from another toon that is in battle with you shows an amazing amount of 'lack of game understanding'. Great Post Peppy. I think you hit the nail right on the head. My second toon just maid it to Daisy's Garden and I was shocked to see that he was immediately given Sellbot HQ tasks. Were I not already experienced in the game, I would be quite overwhelmed.
To expand on what you said, I think we can all remember the times when we wouldn't even get on a 2 story elevator without 4 people. That "unknown" factor is what scares people. I've heard it said before and I'll reiterate it. Sellbot HQ is great for the long-time Toontown players, but it is HORRIBLE for the game. You have 80 and 90 laff toons with maxxed gags that don't have as thorough an understanding of the game as the veterans do. Heck, my 35 laff toon has full Sellbot radar. That could never have been accomplished in the old days of no HQ. Just my rant. See you in trenches. |

Hee hee ![]() Older people Like parents and Grandparents Are SCARED I laughed my head off when I read that!! You are soooooo right ha ha ha. I am a parent and although I am not scared of the factory I must admit the the VP does scare me I think that as you get older you become more wary of taking risks, even though its only a game, with not to much to lose, the instinct kicks in. But lucky for me there are enough young fearless toons in tt to lend a guiding hand to us oldies.

Since the 75-laffer was using level 6 gags on level 4 cogs AND using the SOS in a silly manner, I'd say it was almost definitely a little kid playing someone else's toon.

Maybe taking her off my list was a bit too harsh? Oh well. Even if she did (which I doubt) care, she'll get over it.
