Why does it say (on my merits gauge)10,000/5500 .Only since the update?

Because now you only need 5500 merits for level 12 hollywood, and you had 10000 before the update, so it would say 10000/5500 until you beat the vp again.

I can go to the VP and NOT lose my 10,000?.But I need to do a factory run to get 5500 ,to go to the VP ?(this sounds wierd)Is it so we can help out and get more cards?

Think of it as a credit. When you go for Hollywood if you *gasp* fail you will only need 1000 merits before you can go again.

I think you can be up to level 50 mr. hollywod now, so you don't have to bail. This has yet to be tested, so it might be wiser to bail, or not go.

I am level 12 Holly maxed,and I went to vp today! Wanted to see the changes to it.So I stayed ,and now I am a level 13 Holly! I need 5500 merits now! WOOOHOOOO Gonna go in 2 more times to see how many lp u get when u r a level 15 Holly! Wish me luck!!

I was at 10000/5500 this morning before I fought any sellbots. I went to a 5 sell bldg a friend called me for. When we were dancing, it gave me -4500 merits and pronounced me ready for promotion. The question I have is what if I had gone straight to the VP before having fought a sellbot? Would it have told me I needed more merits since I hadn't had that calculation done?

I forgot to take a pic when my math was going, but I caught this later when my friend was calculated.

This stinks so much. I just got my 10k last night, and from what I understand from these posts, now all I need is 5500??

Man, what a rip off.

So I just lost 4500 merit points.

That was like 9 full factory runs. How does one go about getting some of their lost life back?

those points you earned last night are like credit, you won't lose them. once you go into the vp and win.. you'll have the leftover merits and only need 1000 more. It wasn't wasted, you got to sell a few maps! HEHE

I don't know about that! Went in with 10000 merits and came out level 13 holly and still need 5500 merits to be promoted. As far as I can see there is no credit there.

Yes, Pop, me too. I just completed a VP run successfully, going in as a Mr. Holly Level 12, and coming out as a level 13.

I had 10,000 Merits, and now I need 5500. NO bonuses or anything like that. Just have to keep earning them over and over until you get to level 50.
