Grrr at toons like this

There were 4 of us, me, two maxed toons, and another maxed toon (A green duck). Well, the first two maxed toons were totally fine with me coming along into a factory elevator. BUt apparently the green duck thought otherwise, he kept jumping out at 1 second and saying "Please go away" and "I think this is too risky for you" and me, not wanting to act foolish said "Yes" and "Sorry". Well anyway, one of the first two toons was really nice and bubbled me saying sorry and I smiled so then I just said "Ok", "Bye", and "Have fun" to that duck and left.

If you are reading this, you are either under the age of ten or extremely immature. You can beat a factory easy with two maxed toons, but I guess 3 maxed and one in need of parts is too scary of a situation for you... whatever.

I've been in the situation where I WANTED to solo the factory and other toons insisted on getting on the elevator with me. Even following me to the side entrance and jumping in.

Switching districts is another solution, but I think it's really sad when I have to leave and I'm not doing anything wrong.

Such are the limitations of Speed Chat. I don't really know what's going on, but my guess is that the duck wanted to Solo. He wasn't exactly saying the Factory was too risky, but what he had in mind was too risky for any of you. Many times when I'm soloing the factory for merits, I'll leave the factory when my merits are full, not when the boss is defeated.

How would you feel if a toon bailed out after the first Silo? Particularly after leading you all over the lower areas (Gear Room/Oil Room). That's what a Merit run can look like. Other toons can mess up a merit run by breaking off and defeating rooms prematurely. This takes merits away and defeats the purpose of the merit run.

If I'm within 150 merits of being full, I'll do a parts run with other toons to 'finish it off'.

Have fun in ToonTown, not everybody plays the same game (all the time), ...da King

Loner or Loser?

If the green duck had really wanted to solo, they could've waited a few seconds for the other three to leave. To me, it sounds like this has to do with green duck taking it upon themself to decide who should or shouldn't be in the factory, not with their desire for solo play. Why they'd have a problem with a 50 something laffer is beyond me. Control freakishness, perhaps? There are a few control freaks playing, as I think we've all noticed. They're not as bad as the griefers who sound a lure or want to go in a 5 story building in DDL or the Brrgh with 15 laff points and a bag of cupcakes, but they are annoying. Don't sweat it, Radiance, it's not you.

lol, had that happen today, a 16-laffer jumped into a 5-floor in the Brrgh with me and one friend. We didn't know he was 16 laff until the fighting started, so we finished the floor, told him it was too risky and left to the playground, then went back to the building. No problem.

If a little toon came into an elevator with me I would play the best I could while maintaining the little toons life as long as possible. I always think what if that was my son hoping some complete strangers will be kind enough to help him through the building.

If the two of you could handle the building, why leave? So what if the 16-laffer doesn't finish the building. At least give them a shot. Many of them are actually pretty good fighters if you give them a chance. And you might be surprised...they might make it with your help. I understand if you are tackling a 5 story in DDL and you need 4 strong toons to make it, but if you and a buddy are going to do fine alone, why not let someone join you for the experience? Many high-laff toons helped me out when I was a low-laff and I learned a lot from watching them fight.

I like green ducks. But I see your dilemma. If the other toons were sweet with you being there, then just stay put !!! If the green duck wants to bail out of a lift, then let him/her. My green mouse is a brat. So, maybe this green duck is a snot?!!? Who knows...but you seem sweet (On the other hand, if the two other toons were WITH the green duck and also bailed AFTER the green duck did, then I see how you would be very hurt. Just remember, don't let a green duck ruin the game for you)
