Some of the little mini games in there are kind of fun actually. Instead of Jelly Bean barrels in rooms like the Lava, they should put Merit bonus barrels in there or some thing new, like bonus 7th gag training slides, you would still need 16 but heck I am sure more people would look to run the whole factory if that was the case!! Exploring the factory was the most fun I have had lately and I wish Disney would do something to encorage it!!

Most of the time it is through the door, to the left, heck I think I run that route in my sleep now!!! Boring!! Come on Disney this is supposed to be fun, not tedious, that is what work is for!!! zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....
Yes! I agree, do some things to give us variety in there and a reason to explore or try different routes! Good idea!

Now that you mention it, this struck me as odd before, but I got used to the idea and never questioned. So the idea of "taking out" the competition for merits would be more logical and force movement outside the factory area. I likes.

There may be logic on both sides of this. In order for me to get a promotion, I need to get some of the yutz cogs out of circulation so I can have their job. You know...kind of like the boss getting fired so you can have the job.

To your point, it would also make sense to take out the competition to mix it up a bit.

Once all 4 CHQ's are released it'll make more sense as to why the merit
earnings are bound to the cog-type. When your tally comes up at the end of
a battle, you'll notice that there is room for 3 more progress bars next to the
Sellbot progress bar, for the other cog-types.

Why not just ramp up merit reward in buildings? Keep it cog-level oriented but
add higher multipliers per floor. 5-story buildings can sometimes take up to 40
minutes, while a full factory run can take 22-25 minutes, so it's not like we're
doing less work in buildings as far as time spent. It seems as though Disney
made it an incentive to do factory work PROBABLY to free up buildings for
taskers but I think (or hope perhaps) it's just an oversight.

As far as getting full merits for a complete factory run, that makes no sense.
Why bother requiring more merits for higher promotions? lol. They already do
give you more merits in the factory depending on which way you go, but it's
too little to make a difference. I just would like to see merit earnings a little
more balanced throughout Toontown. Get me out of the factory, lol!

All I was trying to say was the Disney should make some incentive for exploring the factory. Like you said you get more merits depending on which way you go but too little to make a difference, make it worthwhile to go hunt for all the cogs in the factory. I hardly ever encounter a toon that wants to go any other way but the easiest path through. Why have this elaborate factory that is kind of cool to explore through, and I would bet most toons haven't even seen some of the rooms yet. Why, because you work as a team and most members of the team are going to take the shortest route. The barrels with JBs or Gags really aren't worth the time it takes to get past some of the mini games in the factory, like the spinning wheels in the lava room. But if there were say barrels worth 100, 200, etc merits or new gag training reels then it would be worth looking in every room while in there. Heck how about having barrels with suit parts in them!! You need four suit parts, one longer trip through the factory and you can get them all in one run!!
