Factory Rant #2,593,563 (The New Factory Doors)
I figure there's been at least that many of them. ^_^
I just wanted to say the new factory doors ****. And if you don't know what I'm talking about then it's probably because it's only on Test (as far as I know) and you haven't had the chance to see them yet... but the sliding doors now are double doors... one set slides up into the ceiling and down into the floor as before, then the second set slides to the left and right into the walls. To the game developers... What the...? Is the factory not already boring enough and worthless enough (as far as gag experience goes) that we have to extend the agony even further by making the doors take twice as long to open? What is wrong with you people? Maybe it looks cool, in a Max Smart sort of way, but the novelty tends to wear off like IMMEDIATELY and then it's just another @#$@!#$!@#$ waste of my time. It used to be that you could jump over the doors when they were about halfway open. Not any more. It used to be that you could stand in the door and keep the door open, holding it for your friends to run through. Not any more -- they close on you and shove you aside. The developers in their infinite wisdom have decided that one of the biggest problems with the factory was that the doors were opening too quickly! Oh my stars! Gag experience isn't a problem! The V.P. shuffle isn't a problem! But in the name of all that is holy we absolutely MUST double the time it takes to get through each door! Thank you so much! Maybe you could really go all the way and do 10 seperate doors per doorway just like in Max Smart! Huh? Huh? If wasting six seconds of my time is good, then wasting fifteen or thirty seconds per doorway is even better! How about it?

That was quite possibly THEE best rant for COG Hq ive seen in like forever. Funny as **** too. hehe
But you make a point, why would they be so stupid and go and play with the doors when there are still bugs that "we" feel need to be ironed out first. Like come on. Why not work on making it so that we dont go invisible where clothing is supposed to be. Why not make sure that the Donkeys ears can flap around too or give him a donkey tail.

Toontown is already running into the MMORPG wall for upper level content. Developers out of real ideas. Bug fixes hard. Solution: lots of eye candy and mindless tedium for minimal reward.
Toowntown has been a lot of fun for the last couple years, and to the developer's credit has held my attention longer than other MMORPGs. It will surely continue to attract new customers who will be as delighted with the game as I first was. But for this experienced toon, it's looking increasingly likely that it's time to move on. |

How terrible....
I hate waiting for the door to open. Even worse now it takes longer? I think cog hq is becoming terrible!!!! Why dont they focus on important things...like maybe problem w gag experiance when fighting the vp!?! (u dont get any) Disney calls an extra door important!?! While there at it, why dont they just make it so the goons in the warehouse take away 40! Man, these disney people dont know the meaning of important!

I was wondering if the double doors were to make it easier for the goons to get you so the lower laff toons will not make it as easy. Although a friend that is at 56 laff needed minglers for harry so we did the factory and he did fine. So maybe my theory is wrong.
