Miserable solo fac lol.

I only used sound 5 times, sound missed 3 times <.< 1 fog, 1 ele, 1 op. throw missed 2 times, lure missed twice, and squirt hit all the way :P, even my geyser lol. Then the second I open the door to the central silo, the inv ends <.<. I wait like 5 mins. I'm done with solo facs, grr.

I got to attempt my first two solo factories today. Neither being too pleasent. The first happening after an uber jumped off on the last second. Decided I'd try my first one. I got all the way to the last cog, only to have an invasion end. After luring it and waiting forever for an invasion to come back, it eventually put me sad. Then of course right after I get to DG one starts. The second one I won, but with all of 3 laff left. I feel your pain.

Ok, what kind of solo factory are you all doing? A full factory or a short route? My 59 Laffer has been doing solo factories since 53 LP's and not died, or, come close to dying yet. I do short runs though and I don't have sound. I have maxed lure, maxed throw and maxed squirt. Those are the only gags I use in the factory, I don't try to work my other gags in there alone. I take 1 hit in the factory and this is my route:
1st set of cogs: I lure using big magnet. Cogs can be in any order. I use firehose on both 3's then firehose the 5 last so I get bounceback bonus. No hits to me.
Take a right in the hall to the skelecogs. Cogs always line up 5,6,5 for me. Lure using hypno-goggles. I firehose the 5 on the right first for bounceback bonus and he dies. I creampie the 6, who does not bounce or die, he hits at me then I firehose him. The 6 dies. I firehose the 5, bounceback bonus, he dies.
I glitch through the warehouse wall and go for the silos. I always do the West Silo first so I can choose which cog I run into. I run into a 6 first. Lure using big magnet. Creampie the 6 on the far right, bounceback bonus, he dies. I stormcloud the 7, wherever he is. Creampie on the last cogs gives me bounceback bonus on the remaining 6, he dies.
East silo, same thing, make sure to run into a 6 first. Lure using hypno-goggles, creampie the 6 on the far right, storm the 7, creampie the last 6.
Center Silo: I run into a 6 at the door. Lure cogs, hypno goggles. Creampie the far right 6. Then I use my last stormcloud and 2 birthday cakes to kill the rest. I make sure to leave the 9 for last so I get a bounceback bonus and he dies.
It's not hard for me to do but if you need full factories I don't recommend going alone because it takes soooo long alone. Lol, I'd hate to be in one factory that long. Good luck!

I do solo's all of the time. Not because I am unsociable, but more the fact I am distracted by outside influences and do not want to slow others up. Lure is the key for me. I do the whole factory and on a few occassions end the run with all 113 of my laff points. Crazy River is the key though. If I am going to spend all that time I want to dobule my pleasure. HW28 and moving on up. I must admit though, it does get boring after a while. Specially when you need 5500 merits. Good luck to all you solo factory runners...

I agree, don't use sound when soloing the factory. That is where you went wrong. With a well developed lure, I can 50% of the time get through a full factory run without taking a single attack. Just choose your gags so you kill on every shot (organic throw may be useful here), and remember to refill your cream pies after you have used a few. Even when a couple of lures miss, I don't think I've ever lost more than 30 laff points.

That right there. I almost never use sound and I fill up in the Lava Room and Paint Room. Not only are the 75 extra jellybeans nice, the cones in the lave room sweet, but the pie and squirt fill ups are nice also.

Lol I only fog on the tiny sets of 3's, 4's, 5's. But I fogged the warehouse, at least it hit there, but then I used an ele to kill the 6, and it missed. I lured/throw/squirt too, but I need 5500 and I was doing a full factory, and every time I got closer to the end something went wrong. And I've done 15+ solo short fac. I normally always do those, but noone was at the factory entrance for a while, so I went in =/. Btw I have organic throw, and I used 9 fruit pies lol. I also came out with 40+/116.

Reading all this, I think it'll be a while until I can solo a fac.

So that makes trap and TU useless...drop will miss...and from this I see that sound is not to be used. Stuck with throw and squirt.

I've been soloing factories for years, even back when it had higher cogs. I use sound (horns) in factories, as well as lure.

Never had too much trouble with it, as long as you spread it out, I would usually throw one in oil room where there are 2 level 5s, and the others on say pipe room. But mainly do use lure

With my drop toon I use sound (horns), then drop the 6's aswell. Lure had missed as much as the sound in my opinion, at the end of the day when game wants to throw in some misses it does regardless of what you do.

I've had factories where missed 3 times in row one set, 2 on another, had to use doodle a little just boost myself for silos, it's just one of those soloing things you have to put up with though.

A lureless factory is more risky but possible, plenty of lureless toons do them. Need to work on with sound and drop, usefull to have doodle with a good tu reliablity (but not essential), and very usefull to have organic drop (which misses less), use drop quickly for best results (or at least this is what i have found).

I beleive best way to minimise getting hit after luring, is to leave the highest cogs till last, and use gag that that will kill cogs without bonus where you can, also if you go for the level 6 cog battles first, gear, boiler and warehouse, you can use the cakes on level 6's that way when don't get bonus jump back it still dies, you then go back to cake can and restock.

As far as catching invasions, you cud use a timer (download one from net, then place outside of TT window), or buy a basic one if you don't play windowed. This way you can have idea of when it is going to end, most invasions are 6-10mins, once you get to 6mins u can weary of it stopping make decision whether to wait it out or try and beat it.

On catching invasions in second busy dists where invasions are less frequent. I usually go side, kill side cogs, oil room, warehouse (clear goons and step on switch even if you use wall shortcut), then clear east and west silos.

Then if no invasion has started then continue to gear room, front, then boiler and pipe. Most of the merits are on silos, so even if one starts before you finish you still get more then risking rest of factory.

By doing silos before the rest of factory, if invasion starts while you fighting in front rooms, you should have plenty of time to finish current battle and get to centre silo before it ends, i found before that with east and west silos to do, i could not be sure i would clear them in time.
