Yeah, don't get so close to the VP. I usually stand WAAAAY back & I can hit the undercarriage pretty reasonably and accurately(unless someone is standing right in front of the VP....grrrr. Makes me wish I had the phrase "Down in front!"). The only time I get closer to the VP is when he's dizzy. I usually make it out with MAYBE -10 damage points done to me. Usually the only time I take on damage points is when he jumps & gets dizzy, causing everyone to take on -10 points of damage.
Boy I know what you mean!! "Down in front!" that's hilarious!! I can usually jump the gears when I am close to him, timing is the key to that whole part of the battle. I have also fought the vp on a laptop and while a keyboard isn't necessary, I like having a normal mouse. It's less cramped that way, and then you just need to figure out the best way to position your hands. Good luck!!

Coolest. Keyboard. Ever.
I think I have you beat :)
Virtual Keyboard
Unfortunately, it is a rather abbreviated key layout at this time. :S

I have the same problem as the laptop guys with my Airboards. (worse, because the [Ins] key is actually [Fn][F12]). But I love these puppys so much, I really hate having to use a conventional keyboard on my main 'puters. That's probably a big reason why I haven't been rushing to get to the VP.

Have you even tried one? I tried one in a showroom and found
that the inconsistent pressure needed to compensate for the
unevenness was enough to laugh at the gimmick. It just doesn't
lay flat enough to substitute the traditional keyboard, and
probably will only get worse over time.
