For the people that say they did it with 4. We (my crew) have been thinking of trying with 4. The question I have for you is when you fight with 4, do you allways end up 2 and 2. Or, can you end up 3 and 1? How did it work out for you?
We have tried it with 6 and we did it (easy actually... At 102 laff I am the lowest guy by the way). We have also ended with 5 during the skeli battle (we started with 8 but 2 disco and 1 low laffer), and we did win the fight. So I think 5 is also do-able. The answer to question "can you?" yes, you can fight the VP alone, but you will not make it to the end, no matter what you have, as long as we cant toon ourselves up. I keep reading people say 4, but have not seen any screen shots of it. When we try I will post my screen shots. Prince Peppy Gigglebounce 102 max no lure mingler lvl9

If not, I'm game. One question first. What's your strategy?

4 Toons vs. The VP
Yes, when we had crews of four it was split 2/2 for both cog battles.
We have yet to lose a toon due to lock-ups or death..Knock on wood ![]() When I play this way (with exceptionally good players): I carry slightly LESS tune-up (rather than 23, I carry about 17) I carry sufficient trap, quicksand & trapdoors DO help weed off smaller cogs I carry MORE lure, as many blue magnets, $10's and goggles, of course. I carry less safes and replace them with brown pies Not everyone may gag/play the same strategy, but it works for me! Have a ball no matter who you play with, it IS supposed to be fun

I've made it through with 2 other friends! (Well, then again, each friend were playing on two comps at the same time...LOOL) It was astounding though....
EDIT, Legolas, here is something I posted in a different thread like this: This is about the most stupid question I've heard since CHQ was released.... . Let me examine your post: Quote: All you gotta do is Throw a few pies, dodge a few jumps and gears, so what? Few = 3 or 4. Jumps = VP attack that takes away -10 damage, used repetetively if no toon is near to use gear attack against. Gears = Most commonly used VP attack which takes away -3 damage All you really need to do is dodge 3 or 4 attacks, and throw 3 or 4 pies Not to mention the 60 cogs you have to defeat before the fight the VP. Since that's only on ONE side, and there are two sides, that would double the amount to 120. If you killed each cog with one hit, you wouldn't be able to make it, because at the max, you could only hold 80 gags. Then, if you miraculously survive that, and you are to fight the VP, all his attacks would be focused on you. Thus getting to the point that you would have to stand away from it in order to throw a pie in the door. Then, he would just jump over and over again until you die. Obviously little thought was put into this post when it was first made. Here is what should've been posted: Quote: All you really need to do is to defeat 120 cogs, and then dodge an unlimited amount of jumps and gears, while trying to throw a few pies into the VP. I guess I'll see you sometime in DG, turk!

But our tactic is pretty standard from what I have seen other groups do. Here is the tactic with created with 5 (we went into elevator with 8, 2 disco right away, and the one little guy went down quick, like 25 LP's or something). No tactic yet for 4 since we havent done it yet. With 5 we worked it 3 in the front (including the medic), and 2 in the back. The medic rotates as need be, and if he stands in front of anybody we have to heal him. We all have the timing thing down pretty well. Actually between the timing of hitting the open door on the VP and learning the little trick about moving towards the VP when he is looking at you, I barely get hit in larger groups anymore. However, with the 5 toon run, we all came out a bit dented, but nothing major. I think I had about 45/102. With 4 toons I am thinking 2 in front (the medic being one of these) and 2 in the back. My friends insist that you can stun the VP from the back too (im talking about after the hit on the open door, to make the VP backup), but I cant seem to stun him from the back no matter how hard I try. Therefore any group must have at least one in the front at all times. Ofcourse... Once again, Im not the thinker here, they may have different ideas. By the way, I am not an SF with these guys. I just comunicate with them with speed chat (and we allways understand each other, practice, practice, practice...) Here is the group of 3 regulars. We all have various friends we call upon. We won with 5 last night... Harmony had disco'd. But one thing that helped, Harmony was in the same room as another player (Faith) and was secret friends with everyone except Grandpa, so when Harmony came back (but outside of Sellbot Headquarters), it was easy to see what was going on and coordinate things by telling me when to toonup Faith, telling Faith when to toonup me, etc. It might be hard to arrange that sort of thing as a deliberate strategy, having a game coach who is not actually in there with you but can help coordinate the attack... but it worked well for us. ^_^

When I was a 63 laffer I went to go fight the VP (since I was stupid enough to do that at the time) there were seven 30~60 laffers and since I didn't know what I was doing we went to fight the VP, and we won! But two got disconnected and one died at the time... I was freaked when I saw a little 56 laffer had all six gag tracks and had all of it MAXED! I'll bet he's like the best toon town player of all time! One thing I know is he never fishes. This reminds me of the time I met that low 15 laffer with throw and squirt maxed...
Opps! Off topic!
