I GOT IT!!! *eats food*

I FINALLY HAVE THE SOLUTION TO THE NOOBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The idea is simple. Have the vp at the top of 8 factories, where each cog is made, This way, only the same type of toon-cog in one area. For example, a district for only Name Droppers, Telemarketers, etc. There would only be one of each, though, so it wouldn't be too hard to find a group.

-Another awesome idea, from me

Sounds fine, as long as Toons above the level can go in the ones below (EX: Glad Handers can go in Glad Hander, Name Dropper, Telemarketer, and Cold CAller lobbies)

This would defeat the purpose of having more experienced toons helping less experienced toons. TT is all about making friends and helping one another, right? This would make elitist groups all the more obvious. Of course, they already exist, but why highlight them?

Is this not level discrimitation also?

I have a few problems with this concept:
  • Helping a friend with VP would not be available any more. I have taken on 4 VP battles so far and am at 50%. Many of my friends that want halpe are much farther along.
  • Not solving low laff problem with this. Yes, you wil get a grouping of "experience" with VP battle, but a low laff can still win. (Not an arguement I want to tackle!)
  • Lastly, one area is bad enough. Asking for more like that would slow down other things developers could be giving us!

1. First of all, my idea stops it, and he didn't say those would be the only lobbies. There still could be a free-for-all lobby/lobbies

2. Experience means they know what they're doing. In my opinion, a 105 laffer could still be considered a "n00b" if they play horribly. Laff isn't all that matters.

3. Making new districts wouldn't be that hard. Disney would just have to buy new servers, and set the new ones to be like Welcome Valley, but limited to Cog HQ.

Here's the REAL answer though.

You know the 4 doors? Well then, when you go in one, you can choose to LOCK it if you get in one alone. There would be 4 different lobbies, and above each would be a sort of elevator thing telling how many toons are in it. If it was locked, it would simply have a lock above it. Once you "lock" a building, people with complete suits would be able to teleport to you. This would be a new option that appears in the as of now unused 5th slot in your friends page: Invite to VP. If you didn't, and were asked to, you'd get a message like

Silly Slappy invited you to battle the VP, but your suit is not complete/you need more merits!

If you did have enough merits/suit peices, it would say

Silly Slappy wants to battle the VP. Would you like to?

Yes/No

When you are inside these lobbies, you have 10 minutes to get a group selected. There would be a list on the right side of EVERY toon outside in the courtyard, and you could also invite them. This way you could invite more people than the 50 friends you have, this would work well for TTC meets. If you were in the courtyard, and invited by a random, you could click their name to find out their info. If you did not get one person in in 2 minutes, you will be kicked out of the lobby to DAISY'S GARDEN to prevent people from camping these lobbies. This would work better if 4 more doors were added into VP, and 2 of them stayed public at all times, and the other 6 were private doors. With Disneys current number of districts, this would probably work just fine.

I was referring specifically to VP battle experience. Not laff.

I like this. Allows for some grouping and a free lance area. Might be a good idea for the next HQ sets. Solves a lot of complaints. Just making the 4 doors into 4 lobbies as is would alleviate issues also.

I know, that was me saying that there is no real laff problem, and Fat Bebop agrees. It's an experience problem that he has too.

I am guessing that you are not a software developer; you sound more like a project manager**. I am a ten (10) year veteran to software development. I can tell you without hesitation that what you purpose would take quite a few “man hours” to setup and even more to maintain. Anytime you have to maintain “special” builds it is a royal pain.

**Project managers are always promising grand things in little development hours (often no testing hours) without even consulting with the developers or team leads.

It could completely be different depending on the game architecture. I've run fan servers for various online games before, and it has not seemed to be as much trouble as you are making it out to be. (for example, I've run one for Ultima Online) I haven't had close to as much load as the TT servers though, most I've had is 30 on one of my servers. Of course this game may be different, or it may be the same. I didn't buy the server though, it was set up by a friend, I did the installation, and so forth. UO has some backend already set up by friends though. However, Disney has put in over 20 more districts than we have once, do you remember that? It was only for a few hours, but they were there!!! It can't be that hard to do with Disney's software, we know they have the set-up from that "demonstration" before.

EDIT: Proof of this.

New Districts

It must not be hard to do with Disney's developing software. I've seen pictures of their street-maker, and it seems to be quite user-friendly compared to some other editors I've used.

EDIT2: That fake forensic report in your profile is a riot and a half!
