How low is too low, in your opinion? An alternative idea...

I ask because this weekend my wife and I and a friend and his daughter ran through the factory. We had 61 and 62 laffs, my friend had 73 and his daughter 48.

Now the daughter is 7 and daddy had to negotiate her toon through the warehouse for her, but other than that, we had a great time and had no trouble taking out the foreman.

I'm not arguing that you should let every new toon you see on the elevator with you, by any means, but I DO think that Disney was right NOT to put a laff-limit on HQ. In my opinion, the way to deal with the newbie on the elevator issue would be to allow you to flag a toon as one who can't get on the elevator with you, and vice versa. A no-group list, much like the friend list in reverse.

With such a flag, you could flag someone as no-group. If they get on the elevator first, you can't, and if you get on the elevator first, THEY can't. So when you and 3 friends show up at the factory, if there's an low laffer there who dosen't want to take 'no' for an answer, all you do is have one person flag the toon as 'no-group' and then that person gets on the elevator first. The n00b can't get on, and the rest of you step on and proceed on your merry way.

Whatcha think?

As far as laff limits in CogHQ go read "Is it just me?" thread... we cover alot of that there.

As for your idea to flag someone - BAD idea IMO. This will cause even more problems - more grieving and esp. more unfair cliquish behavior.

Sorry Greebo, I don't think that's a good idea. Your idea would
require another table list (the same as the friends list) in Disney's
user database. If there is going to be any expansion to the user
database, I'd much rather have a larger estate, with more
capacity for more furniture!

The biggest problem with Cog HQ is that the reward is better
suited for noob toons, but the task in getting the reward is better
suited for uber toons. It's bass-ackward, and it's Disney's chosen
concept!!! I for one would LOVE the opportunity to pull out a few
SOS cards when my toon is say, below 40 laff! How cool would
that be? Therein lies the honey for the noob flys!

Not to mention...

Can you imagine the evil people types that would purposely get a low laffer squad together to block the elevator from high laffers?

I admit it could be abused, but I'm not convinced it would be a wholly bad idea.

After all, to truly block out high point laffers from an elevator, they would have to STAY on the elevator...

You're probably right, though - overall it would probably be too abusable...

You mention the 7 year old, and you all took her with you. I have nooo problem with that. I imagine she had a good time and just wanted to see what it was all about. The real reason I'm replying though is because it reminded me of this suggestion:

Someone once mentioned a "look out" tower. A place where you could go no matter what laff you were, to watch a VP battle. I love this idea! If they could do that with the factory too somehow...not only would it be fun for the ones inside showing off, but provide inspiration for the ones that can't get in yet. Whee!

Ok it's silly and probably wouldn't solve a darn thing but it would be sooo cool. Like practicing doctors watching a surgery LOL

Whee!
