Tips and Tricks, I'd just like to get out there.
I've seen many people do little things that just get on my nerves a bit, that end up costing the team just a little bit, in different ways. I just want to get some points and tips across about some parts of BBHQ, mostly just to get it off my chest (and to keep me busy in this back nine) and hopefully someone or a few people could learn something. 1. In the CEO Serving Round, the pink things (stomachs, I guess you can call them) above the Corparate Raiders' heads mean they are hungry. Most know that. But, some people just don't seem to realize that the bar inside the pink stomach fills up higher as the time increases that the cog hasn't been fed. Which brings me to my point, if you see a pink stomach bar that's filled up almost all the way or a stomach that is flashing red (which means a couple more seconds and he will go to lightning), you should feed that cog as a higher priority to feeding any new cog or any pink stomach not filled up as much. Lightning means you will have to start over in feeding him (3 times), so if you don't want that, you should feed the higher filled stomachs. 2. In most cases, you should feed the pink stomach as a higher priority of feeding a new cog (as said above). On the other hand, usually within the last 100 seconds, it's a good idea to start feeding any cogs that haven't been fed at all yet (no can or stomach on their head) because it takes around 80 seconds (give or take 20 seconds - depending on how the cogs pink stomach fills up before it's fed again) for you to feed a cog 3 times. So, in order to have any chance of feeding all the Corparate Raiders (so you don't have to battle them), you need your team, as a whole, needs to get every single cog fed at least once before about 70-80 seconds. Just make sure there are no cogs with flashing red stomachs before you do feed a new cog in the end (so the cog doesn't turn hungry and get to lightning). 3. In the Seltzer Round of the CEO, in my opinion, you shouldn't try for a -4 or -6 hit when the CEO is less than a table away from you. As you could probably get a couple -2 hits that would value up to more in the same amount of time as it took you for that bigger hit, since the CEO is so close to you, it won't take much charging. Also, when the CEO is close, there's a good chance he will come and try to run you over, in which case you'll need to hop off. If you were in the middle of charging that -4 or -6 hit, which you probably were, you would have wasted all of that time charging, when you could have probably pulled off a couple of -2's before you needed to get off. When he's further away, go for the -4 or -6, just within close range, a -2 is probably best. 4. If you get down in laff early in the Seltzer Round, go get the snacks as they probably aren't in demand. So now when you are in low laff at the end of the round, you'll be 10-20 lps higher than you would, and caused the team no harm by taking treasures because no one usually needs or wants the snacks in the very beggining. 5. During the Seltzer Round, you're more likely to avoid "Fore!" if you are on one of the 4 corner tables, running to the outside (toward the wall), you'll guarantee a miss because there would be no way of a fore attack (golf balls) that was directed toward another play to hit you since there's no players near the wall. Also, if you are on the ground running around near the Seltzer tables when the CEO says "Fore!", hop on to a seltzer table and you will dodge the CEO's attack. 6. When you're in the CEO and there's either only one person or no one golfing, there's really no point in golfing, as you need 3 or 4 good toons to make his tracks turn brick red and slow him down. So, just hop on a Seltzer Bottle. 7. If you're low laff, and were currently using the seltzer bottles, you should go golf. With golfing there's a very low risk of you being hurt because the only thing you need to avoid is "Fore!", and when he throws at you. Both which all you need to do is click leave or Esc and it automatically moves you out of the way. 8. In the CEO Seltzer Battle, if there are toons on golf, it makes it much easier for them if the seltzer toons are on the front 3 tables (closest to the conveyer belt). This way the toons on golf can hit the CEO with a greater amount of golf balls and much easier, with no cost to the team. The closer the CEO is to the golfers the more shots they can get off, the slower he becomes, and the faster your CEO ends. A tip based on the idea of King Supernerd's post. 9. If you're about to use a TU unite, go check some other plays laffs out. More than likely there is another player desperately needs it, and you would be helping both of you out. An exception would be if you're under 15 laff and really don't want to risk going sad by running to the toon. 10. In the CEO Seltzer Battle, try to choose a table that doesn't have any other toons behind you. In particular, try to avoid the middle table closest to the golfers, but also be aware if people are running behind you. If the CEO yells "Fore!" you and jump off, you may still get hit by golf balls heading for someone else. If nobody is behind you, this can't happen. Similarly, if you are running to the belts for snacks, don't run through the golfers or hang around at the belts with other toons. You significantly increase your chance of getting hit by a "Fore! attack or balls and gears aimed for other toons or, worse, getting other toons caught in the crossfire of balls that were aimed at you! A tip straight from Doctor Igor McMuffin's post. 10. Just a small one here. If you're going into cog ball with only missing unimportant gags (fire hose, cream pie, elephant trunk, TU or a lure), it might be a good idea to only beat one puzzle. This way the other members of your team can beat more puzzles thus giving them a better chance of gaining back an important gag, such as a fog or TNT. Unless, of course, you enjoy playing cog ball. Than by all means, enjoy it. 11. An obvious one, if you see a group of 4 toons who want to go with each other, and it's obvious as it probably us... just let them go. You're wasting you're on time by shuffling with them and on top of them building yourself a bad reputation. Somewhere along the way you'll probably want one of them to help you, and they won't. 12. When your in a Middle Six or a Back Nine, instead of using an Elephant Trunk on the second set of cogs, use an Aoogah. You only have 7 Elephant Trunks and there or 6 (or 9) floors. You obviously don't have enough ele's for all 9 floors, which is why as long as you bring at least 7 Aoogah's, you can last 7 good floors having elephant trunks that are necessary if you don't want to waste 2 Fogs on a group of 10s.

I just posted this on a different thread before I saw this. I thought I'd add my tips to this thread.
- Use the mouse pointer to aim the seltzer squirt. Put your mouse pointer directly north of the bottle on the screen, then rotate the bottle so that your mouse pointer is on the CEO. You will always get a direct hit like this. (as long as you charge the bottle long enough) - The mouse pointer can also be used to aim your golf hits. Again, line up the mouse pointer and your ball will go where you swing. If you have trouble getting the mouse pointer in the right place, just swing and put your mouse pointer wherever the puff of smoke is. Rotate to the CEO and swing away knowing you are on target for your next golf swing - or head to a table for a perfectly aimed squirt. - Don't jump off a table when the CEO hits golf balls only at you. Of course you have to leave the table on a FORE, but if it's not a FORE you will not be hit even if he is aiming at you. Golf balls will hit a golfer or anyone not on a table. - I don't know a reliable way to detect and avoid gears other than to always choose the table furthest from the CEO and jump off if you hear the gear sound. If you are using the mouse pointer trick, there's no penalty to taking a far away table. - Choose a table that doesn't have any other toons behind you. In particular, try to avoid the middle table closest to the golfers, but also be aware if people are running behind you. If the you get a FORE and jump off, you may still get hit by golf balls heading for someone else. If nobody is behind you, this won't happen. - Similarly, if you are running to the belts for snacks, don't run through the golfers or hang around at the belts with other toons. You significantly increase your chance of getting hit by balls aimed for other toons or, worse, getting other toons caught in the crossfire of balls that were aimed at you! |

#8 -- If you are using a tune up unite, please say, "I am going to use tune up" or "Let's use tune up"
I say "Meet Here" "Later" in the lobby area before we go to feed the cogs. This area is small enough to have a unite fill up all toons. When I use my tune up unites, I want the whole team to get laffs. I call out to everyone and try to wait for all toons to come over. I have won 2/2 sharing my unites. I will use one when he turns orange and my partner uses one when he turns red. In addition, I keep an eye on the conveyor belts and I say "Grab the snacks before they fall on the floor" Just to let players know the conveyor is full and it's a good time to get a +10. |

Here is another one:
- Do not alt out during the CEO battle as this is rude and leaves your fellow toons to scramble for an extra 30-40 minutes and may make them sad. I've been to the CEO battle four times now, and all four times at least 4 (I think probably 5) quit within the first 10 minutes. I managed a win with only 3 of us once, but just two was too hard! Please, please, PLEASE do not disconnect. Only go in if you are committed to the battle. I actually saw one person speak in SF-speak, and immediately after saw three of them drop down a hole and jump in. Just two of us lasted about 45 minutes and turned him red! We got sad, but at least we stuck around and tried. |
