I'm sorry but the term noob is really starting to offend me the way that people are starting to use it here. Talk about stereotyping...

It seems like it is really becoming an "us against them" thing here which is totally opposite the way I found it when I first found toontown. Well guess what folks, behind each and every toon is a real live breathing person with opinions and thoughts and feelings.

This isn't the first rpg game I have played online nor will it be the last. Thank God TT doesn't have any real pk feature in place or we would be having a real drawn out war here.

How many of the elder toons got where they are without one iota of help from someone who got to the game before they did? I know I sure as blazes didn't. How many got to where they are without being a beginner who was full of curiousity about each and every feature of TT? How many of you can HONESTLY say you never went into an area that was far above your stats before you graduated to it?

And you beginners....if someone with a lot of laff points tells you something about the game, you really should trust them about the information. Most likely they paid their dues by going sad multiple times learning the hard way. I know I sure did. I also know that those same lessons are changing the way I choose tasks and advance my new toon who is now creating havoc in Minnie's. I wish I had known of this site with my first toon or had a secret friend who could have given me tips on choices I made.

I think it all boils down to respect for one another. Seems to me that once again on line life becomes that wide open void where one thinks that manners and respect for the individual can be blown out the window just because we aren't looking each other in the eye.

Well, not for me. I will respect everyone. And if you bug the blazes out of me, I will walk/teleport/change districts away from you rather than get into a sniping war with you.

Why can't we just try to get along?

the elevator dance will continue as long as both parties (noobs & hi-laffers) continue to contribute. we hi-laffers are equally responsible as the noobs for this problem. you dont need 8 people over 100 laffs to win! doesnt everyone understand that? what's the problem w/taking a noob or two? let's see, hmmm, they might go sad. i guess us hi-laffers cant make it w/out them?? if they go sad they maybe think they need to get higher laffs or that it was a heck of alotta fun. if they go sad you ought to be able to make it w/out them and that it was a heck of alotta fun. even if you lose, you just lose suit pieces so at most 4 factory runs and there are threads about being able to do the factory solo so why would that be a problem? i cant believe people spend over 2 hours trying to do the vp and they dont even have fun in the process all because they dont want to go w/noobs. what a waste. you know, the elevator doesnt "belong" to the hi-laffers.

you can do a few simple things that will work...
IN THE FACTORY
1: if they are low laff and you have another high laffer with you, who says you HAVE to heal them?
* i carry them up to the top
* and have other toons tell me i should pass
the cogs then hit everybody and they can die faster than you
(just a dirty way of being a PK - but it does work)

2: don't go in the elevator with them
if you dont help them get that cog suit they cant fight the VP

IN THE VP ELEVATOR ROOM
1: use two speed-chat phrases...
'please go away' & 'i think this is to risky for you'

* i myself PM the message to the toon that is low laff
* and then stand in ront of them and do it again out loud
(this usally makes everyone who agrees do the same)

2: go to another district
(which ***** because it takes alot of time)

I will never have respect for any noob in cog HQ arguing with me, any noob that doesn't listen, or any noob that gets in the way. In other words, I respect about .000326342% of the noob population. I am still so mad that a 59 laffer told me my wires got crossed. I know what I'm doing.

Personally, I think that being told I'm not allowed in DDL buildings when I defeated billions of DDL buildings and I have radar IT TAKES THE CAKE! Seriously, I don't listen to anything against me in CHQ when I'm sick of being told it in DDL! SO BEWARE! (oh yes, beware. I can torture you all with the elevator shuffle.
