Please, understand, it's sometimes nothing personal if a toon doesn't want to get in the elevator with you in sell HQ.

I have 3 sell keys, and three other toons in HW suits. Please understand, that if I am at the side entrance and saying don't wait for me or no thank you, I have a desire to do the factory alone.

I have been soloing the factory since 2004, when the cogs were much bigger. As long as I have level 6 squirt and throw, and at least level 4 lure, any toon above about 60 laff I have can solo. My doodles are very well trained, and I know what order to kill the cogs in and with what gags to complete the factory with very little damage.

Soloing the factory, for me, in an invasion district, takes about 8 minutes and gets me over 400 merits. I can NOT get that with someone I am not sf with, or at least someone who understands speedchat and trusts me enough to "follow me" without question. Sometimes I just don't want the aggravation of TRYING to get toons to trust me...

And sometimes, I DO want to blast my way through without thought. IF so, I will load with anyone and stay there without shuffling, so it will be obvious I will go with you.

So PLEASE, if you see a toon at the factory elevator doors, quietly waiting for your group to load without her, please don't try to push her in, whisper threats, or stink her. It isn't personal... but doing those things could MAKE it personal.

I totally agree. Soloing a factory for me is my time to myself... I prefer to do them alone. There is no harm in that.

I love to solo the factory myself so I can take time or rushing away I like.

In my opinion, I think it's pretty clear when you say Don't wait for me or No Thank you.

However, some little kids might not understand why you say that to them and some stinkers just don't try to understand that everyone has a right to deny doing something they don't want to.

I have much more luck getting in alone at the side entrance, most toons over there actually get 'no thank you' and 'dont wait for me'!

Unfortunately, I wish this were true. When I am doing factory (which admittedly isn't much after getting key #3) I go to the side entrance unless I am helping a friend on their uber. Some toons DO finally get sick of waiting and eventually load with others or go away... but its sad but true that I have had similar experiences too many times like that which Tom the cat described.

Anyway, I guess there isn't much chance that the offenders would even read this, so I guess I am preachin to the choir (again).

I agree that solo most times is the best way to go and I soloed many facs on my way to maxing. But why settle for 400 merits? Why not go for the full 700+ that are available during invasion?

I don't know about soloing yet...sorry about your experiences. If you don't want toons bothering you, I advise going into quiet districts

Personally, I prefer to get 800 merits in the same amount of time (2 of my runs plus one gag shop = about 22 minutes) that it takes others to do a full run, because of the additional merits - and the fact that in a full solo you HAVE to restock or take hits.

My way the only hits are if/when lure misses, on a full solo you either have to take a certain route to hit the restocks at just the right time, or you have to backtrack to get them. No thanks. I only do full runs if I cant get into an invasion district. I took my duck (third sell key) from HW21 to HW50 in a matter of about 2 1/2 weeks of about 3 or 4 hours a night. Was MUCH less painless than the mouse (second key) who did long run solos and went from 44 to 50 in almost the same amount of time.

Just today, there was a 108, a 50, and a 50 something.
The 50 was clueless, and at the end I kept saying "Wait!" "Trust me!" "I need more merits".
What does she do? Goes thru the door and fights the foreman.
She keeps saying sorry, as she destroys every cog.
About three seconds after the battle is over and we dance, a invasion starts.
I trust only myself at this point.

A full factory run with 2 toons maxed sound should take about 13min (add in any time needed to wait on inv).

And thats all I have to say about that... stupid is as stupid does... lol (don't mind me)

I am the same way. When I have 5500 merits to get I want to blast through the factory without having to wait for other toons or take the time to TU. I solo the factory in about 10 minutes, I would rather go with sfs that can just sound through it with me...but most of my sfs are maxxed in sell (that's what I get for maxing cash first) or are only on at night.
